Enemy of the State
bobcobb30112 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Homeland has a history of slow starts in the season premiere (although to be fair so do quite a few pay TV dramas) but this year not so much. We got right back into the thick of things with a corrupt President and Carrie up to her old tricks trying to expose it.

I hope there is some sort of terrorism aspect to this show this season, Homeland needs it, but if this episode is any indication it will be a good year. As a political junkie I like what I saw, but maybe some others won't feel the same way.

Season 7 and still this high level, respect !

The start of Season 7 is very promising, you're back right in the middle within the first 5 minutes. This has been my favourite series ever and it's keep getting better even.

wait

Wait a second, everyone seemed to forget that Maggie has two daughters, two! not one. how come is there only Josie now? Did the filmmakers forget or did they deliberately write her out? it's baffling, they should at least explain, I need an explanation, I demand an explanation! lol

Anyways, It seems like this season is going to be about president keane and mostly O'Keefe, Saul will be out surely, and Carrie will be all crazy from the look of things I'm sure.

Disappointing start to season 7

Warning: Spoilers
I've loved everything up to now but the character of O'Keefe really grates with me and I can't stand his voice or acting. I know he's pretty central to season 7 so as this is my second time around for the entire series I may give the rest a miss. The story line does get rather whacky as the season wears on I'm afraid.

Can't fault Clare Danes, Liz Marvel and Mandy Patinkin though.

Homeland was to amazing in first couple of seasons but some actors ruin the feel
richblues3 March 2018
Everytime that Jake Weber opens his fake accent mouth I cringe, i want to fast forward through the episode just so I can miss that horrible acting and meaningless confrontation between him and POTUS... just doesn't add any value to the story at all and the poor acting is very distracting, Claire Danes is still superb , but Brody shouldn't have been killed off he was an amazing actor and would have contributed so much to the storyline if writers would have kept him in...otherwise, the cast is thin as is my patience. 5 stars when it used to be 9 in my books.

Too much childcare...

A very large part of the 7th season is about Carries personal problems and capabilities as a parent. Really not my kind of action.

The rest is cool as always, but the personal thing is really too much.

It ruins this season imo.

It's the rude awakening of "what almost was"!
rsvp32114 February 2018
Obviously, the writers and producers feel safe enough now with the last election well behind us, to give us a peek into how precariously we actually live in the free world, how easily we could lose everything...and almost did!

The insight is amazing!

Great Episode warning of how close we came to disaster with the Clintons
VoyagerMN198615 February 2018
Its amazing how transparent the series can be when reference Hillary Clintons possible election like an alternate timeline dystopia. The level of corruption of the lifelong politician serving as President in this episode is amazing.
