- Supergirl: You found us?
- Alex Danvers: Always. We got to hurry up. Winn's waiting for us.
- Supergirl: Wait. You brought Winn to space?
- Alex Danvers: Are you seeing this? What the hell is this?
- Winn Schott: Never seen anything like that.
- J'onn J'onzz: I have.
- Winn Schott: Oh, no. That... I know that tone. That's a "bad news" tone.
- J'onn J'onzz: It's a transmatter portal. A way to travel instantly between worlds.
- Winn Schott: Oh, my god. It's "Stargate". Wait, does that mean that...?
- Alex Danvers: [finding Kara's civilian clothes] Kara's not on Earth.
- Supergirl: Okay, listen. I know that you're all scared. But we're going to find a way out of here. Don't worry.
- Mon-El: Psst.
- Supergirl: Did you just "psst"?
- Mon-El: Yeah. Come here. So, we're stuck on the most dangerous planet in the galaxy, we don't have our powers, and you're optimistic how?
- Supergirl: Because they need us to be.
- Veronica Sinclair: Well, if this isn't deja vu.
- Supergirl: Why are you here?
- Mon-El: Yeah.
- [quietly to Kara]
- Mon-El: Wait, who is this?
- Veronica Sinclair: I'm here because of you. You dismantled my club. I had nowhere else to go. So imagine my excitement when one of my fighters told me about Slaver's Moon. I jumped at the opportunity to help expand its market.
- Supergirl: You are treating this like... like you're selling coffee. You... you are selling people.
- Veronica Sinclair: I've taken human trafficking to the next level. These are prime specimens that can survive a lifetime of labor. They're good stock, and they'll sell for top dollar.
- Supergirl: It's blood money.
- Veronica Sinclair: Blood diamonds, actually. This planet's lousy with them. They're like dirt to these Maaldorians.
- Supergirl: [a Dominator enters] Oh, man, I hate these guys.
- Snapper Carr: Slaver's Moon? Very catchy.
- Kara Danvers: All those runaways? They were being sold as alien slave labor. That's a big story. 8,000 words, personal accounts from the cells, from the auction house, from the daughter, Izzy, whose disappearance you didn't want me looking into.
- Snapper Carr: You want a medal? Submit yourself for Pulitzer.
- Kara Danvers: I know that you want me to follow my head, but I would rather be wrong about a dozen leads than not follow the ones I believe in. That's the kind of reporter I want to be. I'm always going to follow my heart.
- Snapper Carr: Your therapy bills.
- Kara Danvers: Have a great day, chief.
- Snapper Carr: [as she leaves, he smiles to himself] Atta girl, Danvers.
- Supergirl: I just... I... I'm in a funk. I mean, stopping jewel thieves and that bank robbery last week, it's just... a little... easy.
- Alex Danvers: So?
- Supergirl: So? So, lately, I feel like I'm protecting jewels and money more than I'm protecting people.
- Alex Danvers: You were a hero tonight, so go home, celebrate.
- Supergirl: Do you want to come over? We can catch up on "The Night Of".
- Alex Danvers: I... can't. I have plans.
- Supergirl: Ah ha!
- Alex Danvers: Unless you need me to cancel it.
- Supergirl: No, no. I need you to go be with your girlfriend.
- Alex Danvers: [both chuckle] I can't have a...
- [happy realization:]
- Alex Danvers: I have a girlfriend!
- [goes off]
- Supergirl: [laughs merrily] Go, honey!
- J'onn J'onzz: You found the transmatter terminus?
- Winn Schott: Yeah. Ionization trail leads to the Arcturus system, planet 51 arc B.
- J'onn J'onzz: That's Maaldoria. The heart of the intergalactic slave trade.
- Alex Danvers: That's bad.
- J'onn J'onzz: I'm afraid it gets worse.
- Alex Danvers: Define "worse".
- J'onn J'onzz: Arcturus is a red sun.
- Alex Danvers: So she won't have any of her powers.
- Winn Schott: [about his black eye] This? I wasn't mugged. All right? I was trying to help Guardian, and I... if he had shown up two seconds later, I would be...
- Alex Danvers: Hey. Kara needs you. Okay? I need you.
- Winn Schott: I am *scared*.
- Alex Danvers: You don't think I was afraid the first time I went out in the field? Dude, I was terrified. But nobody gets better by running away.
- Mon-El: Why do you have to be the one who saves everyone every time?
- Supergirl: Because our worlds may have been destroyed, but we were spared for a reason.
- Mon-El: Uh, luck.
- Supergirl: I refuse to believe that. I believe you keep fighting. Whether you're stuck on another world, whether or not you have your powers, you never give in. That's the difference between you and me.
- Alex Danvers: Thank you for coming.
- Maggie Sawyer: I almost didn't. I just... I don't... I don't think you're ready for this.
- Alex Danvers: No. No, no, no. I am. I am. Okay? I'm... I just... I just kinda went crazy, and... I just... I... I feel like the... the universe is just magically smacking me down from being happy.
- Maggie Sawyer: That's it? You gotta give me more than that.
- Alex Danvers: I have always felt so... responsible. Like weight of the world responsible. And my parents, they always relied on me to watch over my sister. So the few times that I ever did anything for myself, it... ended badly. And then Supergirl went missing, and I just... I blew a gasket.
- Maggie Sawyer: Because Supergirl is your sister.
- Alex Danvers: [feigning ignorance] What are you talking about?
- Maggie Sawyer: Come on. Look, I... I know you. The only person you get that torn up over is Kara. Plus, the glasses don't help.
- Alex Danvers: I always said that, too. It's kind of ridiculous, but... I'm... I'm glad that you know. 'Cause I don't want there to be any secrets.
- Maggie Sawyer: Bad stuff happens. In our line of work, it happens all the time. How do I know you're not gonna run next time it does?
- Alex Danvers: I won't. I'm sorry. I... I just... I want to be happy, with you.
- Maggie Sawyer: You get one, Alex.
- Alex Danvers: It's understood.
- [they hug]
- Alex Danvers: Thank you.
- Alex Danvers: You're wearing my T-shirt.
- Maggie Sawyer: Yeah. Is that okay?
- Alex Danvers: That's amazing. I mean, like, you're in my apartment and it's... it's morning and you slept in my apartment and... and now you're wearing my T-shirt and making coffee, and I can't believe this is happening, and everything coming out of my mouth is very cliché.
- Maggie Sawyer: It's called being happy. Get used to it, Danvers.
- Alex Danvers: Jewel thieves?
- Supergirl: Nabbed. I nabbed 'em. But of course Guardian had to show up and pick up some of the stragglers. That guy is really starting to get on my nerves.
- Alex Danvers: Well, he did help. That's something.
- Supergirl: Yeah, barely. I was the one who had to dodge the surface to air missiles. All he did was slap cuffs on wrists.
- Alex Danvers: Okay, what's bothering you? And it's not Guardian.
- Supergirl: Who says anything's bothering me?
- Alex Danvers: [tapping the bridge of her nose] Crinkle.
- Supergirl: [gasp] Crinkle! I'm gonna get Botox for that. If you can figure out a way to get a needle in my skin, I mean.
- Snapper Carr: Teenage runaways are not news. They are clichés. You have more important stories to cover.
- Kara Danvers: More important? What's more important than a mother finding her daughter?
- Snapper Carr: My coffee, my Danish, and the five minutes of peace and quiet you stole from me.
- Kara Danvers: Thanks for meeting me.
- Maggie Sawyer: Well, always happy to help a Danvers.
- [handing Kara a flash drive]
- Maggie Sawyer: Here is the missing persons report on Izzy Williams that we have, but unfortunately, it's not that much.
- Kara Danvers: Well, any little bit helps.
- Maggie Sawyer: You know, it's funny you asked for that.
- Kara Danvers: Why?
- Maggie Sawyer: Well, we've just had a spike in missing persons over the last few weeks.
- Kara Danvers: You have any theories? Serial killer, kidnapping?
- Maggie Sawyer: Serial killers have patterns, kidnappers have motive. But what's odd is that there's nothing to connect these disappearances. There's Izzy Williams, a father of four, a college student. The list goes on.
- Kara Danvers: [more to herself] And they've all disappeared. Where are they?
- Kara Danvers: [seeing the inter-dimensional portal] Go back to the DEO. Tell Alex what happened. Make sure a strike team follows me.
- Mon-El: [as she changes, she tosses her civilian clothes to him] Right.
- Kara Danvers: I'm going in there.
- Mon-El: Uh... we don't know what's on the other side.
- Supergirl: Izzy's on the other side. And that's all that matters.
- Veronica Sinclair: Supergirl in my cage again.
- Supergirl: Roulette?
- Veronica Sinclair: We have got to stop meeting like this.
- Alex Danvers: Let's hope this thing works.
- [she tosses the grenade in her hand; when it detonates, Kara's powers are restored]
- Mon-El: What was that?
- Alex Danvers: It's a yellow sun grenade. A little taste of home.
- Kara Danvers: Look at you.
- Alex Danvers: What?
- Kara Danvers: Are you kidding? You look like you've been shot with a love ray.
- Alex Danvers: Oh.
- [she scoffs, and they share a laugh]
- Alex Danvers: [lowering her voice] Maggie... Maggie slept over last night.
- Kara Danvers: [happy for her] What? Oh, my god.
- Alex Danvers: Do you think... do you think anybody can tell?
- Supergirl: What are you doing here?
- Mon-El: Uh... I thought you might need my help. Hey, you're bleeding.
- Supergirl: [pointing to the sky] That is a red sun.
- Mon-El: Like Krypton and Daxam.
- Supergirl: And we get our powers from the radiation of a yellow sun, so that means...
- Mon-El: No powers.
- Supergirl: No powers.
- Mon-El: We need to get out of here.
- [as he turns to leave, the portal closes]
- Mon-El: Well, now who's gonna help us?
- Mon-El: [trapped on Maaldoria] We have to get it to work. Nobody knows we're here.
- Supergirl: That's why I told you to get my sister.
- Mon-El: You know what? It doesn't matter who's to blame. We just need to get back to Earth.
- Supergirl: Aliens brought those people to this planet, and we're gonna find out why and save them.
- Mon-El: Um, could you maybe just think about saving us for a second?
- Supergirl: No one told you to come here! In fact, I told you specifically told you to not come.
- Mon-El: Okay, okay. Let's say we do find them; the portal is closed.
- Supergirl: We'll figure something out.
- Supergirl: [sees long-haired young girl among other captives] Izzy? Are you Izzy Williams?
- Izzy Williams: Supergirl... You... you know who I am?
- Supergirl: Your mother is looking for you.
- Izzy Williams: You know my mother?
- Supergirl: Uh... uh... A friend of mine is a reporter and... your mother persuaded her to find out what happened to you. And she told me, that's why I'm here.
- Izzy Williams: You can save us. You can just knock down the walls!
- Mon-El: Can I offer you some unsolicited advice?
- Kara Danvers: Do I?
- Mon-El: If you go looking for trouble... trouble... ye shall find.
- Kara Danvers: Thank you for the completely useless advice.
- Kara Danvers: [sips drink] Mmm!
- [spits it back into cup]
- Kara Danvers: That's not club soda.
- Mon-El: Yeah, what exactly is club soda?
- Kara Danvers: [runs away to meet Maggie]
- Mon-El: Not this.
- Mon-El: Question, do you think I'm more of a Goofus, or more of a Gallant?
- Kara Danvers: [immediately] Goofus.
