Boring
csabiv84 December 2020
It starts well, but soon it becomes really boring. The ending is quite ok, although it's predictable. The whole idea is not bad, but it's wasted. Watch it only if you don't have anything else to do.

Going deeper underground
kosmasp13 July 2022
No pun intended and Jamiroquai has nothing to do with the movie. Maybe the pun was somewhat intended. On the other hand, I am not sure how many know the song I am referring to. Doesn't matter though, because it is about the horror movie we have here. We may not know from the beginning what is going on - unless I reckon you have read the summary.

You should be aware that the movie does get quite violent at times. I have seen worse (or better?) effects than they have here - but if you are aware that this is a low budget movie, you can hopefully just go with the flow ... and deeper and deeper and deeper ... well those who survive that is ... if any.

A solid homage to 80/90s teenage-horror-movies
davijieienne2 May 2021
Have you ever seen, or heard talking about classic horror movies like "A Nightmare on Elm Street" or "Friday the 13th"?

Have you enjoyed them, or are you just curious to experience how a serial-teenage-slaughter-horror movie used to feel, before boring and utterly not-scary movies like the Twilight saga or The Vampire Chronicles were conceived?

Are you interested in a movie where several characters are killed in extremely gory and imaginative ways, no matter how hard they struggle to survive or kill the monster?

If this is the case, you're in. Freddy's not at home, but has left there another monster to keep on the business ;-)

If you're looking for anything else, skip this, or you could get the scares.

urban legends B-movie
agof21 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The film has traditionally weak and disjointed setup, but actually interesting script. Though, with a couple of plot-hole-level pointless hick-ups, to make certain genre-"scenes" happen. Movie features some almost good cinematography (without film-student-levels of depth of field, sepia or motion blur) and half-good-half-wasted-potential sound-design.

Narrative is a "puzzle" type and just like with "Memento", one could wonder, will it be as good, if one unfold all the storytelling envelopes and watch it straight.

It looks rather cheap and trashy, but overall it's enjoyable, good fun to watch and pays off in the end.

Russian horror you can avoid

Warning: Spoilers
This horror got my attention for the subject, subway. There are two story lines that move separately to come to one end. The plot misses some points and it is clear this will not be a well done movie, too many things are left to the viewer. There is a Chinese character that is handcuffed with a suitcase, but we are not told anything about it. I liked the end of the movie, but on the other side it is open. In my opinion, the girl in love with the guy will not let him go, he will be spread with the breath of the monster to become a monster himself.

I mean the idea behind the movie is not that bad, but the final result is much under the expectation. I would not recommend this title to any fan of the genre.
