50 shades of Gray without the sex
dajanadae3 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was ok. The acting was very very bad at times, but I still kept watching so.... I found myself oddly drawn to see what happens next even though it was predictable. Try it, I guess.

I watched it as 7 ep, each 45 min long, so maybe it was better for me than for people who watched it as 20 ep, 15 min each.

I have read the other reviews and i didn't see any scenes without the faces so i am not sure what that person meant, everything was fine. And one person said that the main male lead didn't have a change of heart, but he did towards the end because he started listening to her. And she wasn't submissive, obviously she fought with him about everything and she only agreed to things because of the contract.

Anyway, i watched it and enjoyed it. It wasn't the best kdrama out there but it also wasn't what the bad reviews here are saying.

Short but sweet
leahcubed27 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I really liked the main characters in this one. Lee Kang Hoon, played by Sung Hoon is a dashing, arrogant character who has to drop some arrogance and come a bit more down to earth to learn to love (remind me a bit of Beauty and the Beast). Cha Yoon Seo (played by Kim Jae Hyung) is a plucky veterinarian who is extremely down to earth. It does follow the typical boy meets girl, boy and girl do not get along, boy and girl slowly grow feeling and understanding, fall in love then live happily ever after. But the female lead's fierce independence and plucky attitude add a lot of depth to the story. Lee Kang Hoon's mother is trying to marry him off which is pretty typical in most of these dramas. His mother doesn't think Cha Yoon Seo is good enough for her son and it is true they are not from the same social standing. Added a little bit of a Cinderella element. It was a quick one - each episode was short (15 minutes) and there were only 20 episodes total. Relative to others, the last I watched was 30 one hour episodes - this was short and quick. I was a bit worried they would not be able to tell the story in this short of a version but it worked.

What is with the weird filming, not showing faces?
madamenordica2 September 2018
I liked this show well enough until about episode 15 when suddenly you couldn't see anyone's face - it just showed background shots with subtitles. WTH is going on with this?

Wanting more
elbehar15 February 2024
Sung Hoon with his charisma and sexyness he is the perfect person to play the CEO of any company. He's strick and playful and she's the poor girl that wants to make her dreams come true. Normally these two live in two seperate worlds, but fate, like always, has a way of pushing them together.

Unfortunately the lovey-dovey scenes felt... passionless and the ending felt immensely rushed.

The story had potential, the actors were perfect, it just needed a few more episodes and a script needed more peps.

A light watch for all, but the the script didn't go deeply into his past heartbreaks and left me wanting for more.

Really enjoyed this series. Sung Hoon is very very easy to watch and I feel a talented actor. My wish for him is to widen his appeal globally. Keep up the fantastic work looking forward to his future projects.

Right up my alley
ottemis21 December 2019
I really enjoyed this little series!

Yes low budget, acting not suberb but plenty feels for this sweet, light watch. I really liked the pairing, good chemistry! It's a quick watch as well with 20x15 minute episodes. I enjoy this format a lot more than a feature length movie. This one's actually getting an 8 from me because it delivers plenty for the time investment it represents. I'll be sure to check out main lead Sung Hoon some more!

To offset some of the other reviews, spoilers ahead: I can understand why some might feel the way he treats her are problematic, but I think given his backstory it fits his portrayed character quite well. The whole concept is that they are opposites sharing some undeniable attraction, finding weird ways to be and stay around each-other even though he in particular is quite jaded about the opposite sex (with good reason). One of the things i though beautiful is that he's so attracted to her energy. He keeps looking at the picture he took of her just beaming in the sunlight, the pure delight on her face, his smile as he was watching her. She slowly melts away his insecurities by being consistently pure of heart, and as that happens and he softens up, she starts to fall for him too. It really worked for me.

Not Good Enough
PennyReviews5 July 2020
" Noble, my love " was simply bad.

The premises of the drama were interesting, and I do love the twist with the contracted dating or marriage scheme. However, this drama didn't handle it very well. And it wasn't because they used too many cheesy trops, which you kind of expect from a romantic comedy.

Things started looking fishy when in the scene where the girl is saving the CEO, she takes off his shirt to clean his wound, and while he is there bleeding, she just stares at his abs... And if that is not enough of a warning sign, then the drama will only get worse and more frustrating.

The male lead is simply insufferable. He is not the cold guy who acts arrogant but he is kind of cute. No, he says that he is a dominant and he treats the girl as his property, taking over her job, even her own life. He keeps yelling at her to not meet other guys, even if they are her friends, or she meets them by accident. And, even though she doesn't fit her character, she just takes it. And not only that, she actually falls for him. Why? He was a j**rk to her the entire time!

Now, for the girl, she was enjoyable as a character, but she kept acting randomly. She also tended to behave like a child from time to time.

The drama overall was predictable and some of the episodes were boring. The side characters were also underdeveloped and overlooked most of the time.

Finally, for the good parts of the drama, the episodes towards the ending, when the male lead started acting like a human again were actually good. If only the rest of the drama was like that...

So, overall, 2 out of 10.

Terribly Exaggerated and Cheaply Done
DragonGrrl9919 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Not a fan of the couple in this story. The man is neither funny nor handsome. He's too mean. The girl is extremely submissive. The storyline is unexceptional. Then again, when you get 20 episodes and each no more than 15 or so minutes, a short and simple storyline is probably all that can be expected.

With regards to the guy's house, I'm convinced they filmed the exterior of a large mansion and combined it with filming a cheap condo. The furnishings inside the home don't have the typical opulence found in other kdrama involving a rich guy/ poor girl. A rich guy and IKEA quality bed for him and her's not much better. Cheap pressboard furniture. The bedroom he assigns her in his house is hideous. The wall art is tiny and truly look like Walmart variety. I watch drama for the interior design, costuming and architecture in addition to the plot development. This one probably cost very little to produce. But as a result, it doesn't transport me away from reality and keep me enthralled.

This one is a waste of time.

Harmless but it's nothing special
phd_travel19 May 2021
If you don't expect too much for a web series then this is alright. Lame at times and totally predictable it isn't offensive. Sung Hoon looks the part of CEO. She looks quite pretty but makes too many scowling faces. The brother is quite funny. Some 50 shades jokes fall flat because their romance is so tame.

Dreadful
shejo-9859424 December 2023
Anyone notice that two years later they used several of main characters in similar type roles and that the main actress each time wore the same black plain pants suit and buttoned up white shirt...I'm referring to my Secret Romance.....The lead male is certainly good looking and has some comic flair but both leading ladies were pretty bad. In Noble...she seems capable of only pouting...and in Romance she over does the cute helpless little girl thing.... My Secret Romance was more fun to watch...Noble, My Love ...really awful...dreadful submissive female role model.... Can we talk about the poor film quality and the awful sets? I just could not stay with this one...

Enjoyable but disturbing
gaviandleaht22 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This was a fun bingeabe series for hopeless romantics and lovers of Korean drama. I like that the episodes are short. However I can't help but comment that I was quite disturbed by the relationship portrayed. You definitely see psychologically disturbed people with dominant personalities but the way the girl just accepted that and for her friends to think that is a good relationship to be in, that was not cool. I was hoping for some change of heart with the male character and what we see is an obsessive guy and marrying his lover won't fix that.

If lip-curling, pouting and acting "cute"...
graciego4 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Is your idea of acting, then you will love this female lead.

Sung Hoon always brings the eye-candy and his role did not require much beyond scowling and intimidation. Kim Jae-kyung is very pretty but, omg, her acting is barely high-school level. The lip-curling, the 'cute' snarling and the flouncing is really tiresome. Maybe that is what the script (such as it was) and the director required. However, on the plus side, the non-human, animal actors were great, lol.

Why even the most churlish human being would abuse the person who saved his life is never explained.

Hate to diss any kdrama but this could have been so much better.
