What I love about this show is how they devote so much time to all the individual characters. I'm just going to call the character Ghost Rider because I'm only familiar with the Johnny Blaze version. It's interesting to see more about Fitz and Simmons' relationship. Yeah, it's just brief, but a little romance is good for a big story. We get probably the biggest reveal in a long time. It turns out that the new leader of SHIELD has revealed himself to be an Inhuman. So far, there's no real conflict from that, but it's a big revelation.

The fight scenes are quite good in this. I like the new armory Daisy is using. Coulson still probably has the best dialogue. What's interesting is seeing the one guy Ghost Rider is after just stay in his cell while everyone else is trying to escape. That still doesn't save him from Ghost Rider's attack, which is so intense, it makes all the other prisoners just go back to their cells. We even get some great scenes with Lucy, the ghost. I loved the "Peanuts" reference and how she sets up more stuff. ***1/2

Another great episode, it has lots of action and shield hi-jinks with a side of dark themes, I loved the visual of Ghost Rider in a prison! that is a scary idea. the action was awesome, having Robbie work with Mack was so much fun, and the teamwork was great this episode as usual, except maybe for Daisy acting out but Coulson and May handled it. It was also the Blackmail Mace day in the office as the poor guy keeps finding himself in sticky situations, knowing what I know about him I can see his pov and Coulson's team did put him in a really hard position working with Robbie! but I still got a little kick out of seeing Jemma play him, he earned that one. I really liked the cold open for the episode, Easter eggs aside, I think it showed the nature of the dark hold in a nice way, first by introducing the idea of it changing languages to suit the reader, and later by showing Jo and Lucy let go of each other's hands to symbolize the book consuming them. It was very well done.
