Bedroom Window (2016)
*** (out of 4)
Parents (Alison Becker, Chris Alvarado) wake up horrified to see that their young child is missing. While inspecting his bedroom they notice that he had a camera set out so they watch the video to see if there's any evidence as to what happened.
This two minute short from Calvin Main is another winner for the director. I was unfamiliar with his short films until I ran across one of his movies on Amazon and then I went back to go through all of them. Just like the rest this here is certainly a well-made thriller that works quite well because of the way Main builds up the suspense waiting to show the viewer what happened to the kid. There's nothing ground-breaking here but it's a clever and fun movie that works off the basis of a child's fear and the evilness that might lurk out there. The performances are also quite good.
