I don't know who's going to survive anymore
aniloracyesre27 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Chapter 7 of Ahs Roanoke was full of shaky camera scenes and all the actors whom portrayed the real Roanoke survivors where FINALLY realizing that everything is real. This episode tried to connect all the loose ends that the previous episodes left behind, but at the same time trying to introduce some new drama and craziness.

SPOILER**** Something that really surprise me, was that Agnes (the fake butcher) completely lost her mind in this episode, I mean, OK she was crazy and all, but to get from the crazy bitch who believes she is the real Butcher, to become a murder, killing 3 people, injuring another and then go all batshit crazy on everyone really made me feel like: Wow that escalated quickly...

In overall its was an amazing episode, the return of the Polks was something really unexpected to me, and the fact that Finn Wittrock was one of them really shocked me. I really don't know who is going to survive anymore. I had all my hopes that the real Matt will be the one to survive, because the Scathach wants him sooo bad, but man...Shelby really made sure she doesn't get him.

I give it a 9/10 because i really wanted to see the faces of the real Polks, the Butcher and the Witch, and it was to dark and shaky to actually catch a glimpse of them.

This show can do no wrong
American Horror Story Roanoke Chapter 7 featured scare after non-stop scare. And gore. Plenty of gore. I am talking death by the bucket load! I can safely say that "Chapter 7" will go down as one of my favorite installments of American Horror Story ever. It was legitimately unsettling and just plain creepy, on so many different levels. "The bad guy's always the lead on every show. Now let me ask you something else, judgmental motherf*ckers. What's more important than screen time? Huh?"- Dominic played by Cuba Gooding Jr.

Uh, how about your life? This episode was very much a slasher like film. It was killing off important characters one by one by one. And I feel like the rest of the season will be just that, and I am actually okay with that. As long as they keep the story consistent, it is well written, and it stays focused on the amazing story they have created. I do feel like this episode was a step down from the previous episode directed by Angela Bassett. Not that it is a bad episode, but I believe the series can and have done better. This episode marked the return of many Ghouls, Ghost, Cannibals, and Former Cast Members getting assaulted.

So these are my final Bitchin' Buddha thoughts on Chapters 6 and 7. The show has a fresh focus that is starting off well. I like how this show is taking chances, having fun, and more importantly keeping viewers invested. Chapter 7 is a little weak and feels like a filler episode. On the other hand, I can't wait for the next episode! And I think you will enjoy it as well.

By far, one of the best episodes of all 6 seasons!
youngmoneyinformation27 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is episode has it all. Jump-scares, bloodshed, comedy and even main character deaths are included! Although this episode is found- footage based, it is not to be missed.

This is also one of the most shocking episodes of the series, especially when Shelby kills her previous lover with a crowbar when he declares his love for an unknown being.

The whole comedy aspect of this episode is based around the character of Agnes and how she is obsessed in playing and living as the role of The Butcher. When Lee, Audrey and Monet go out looking for Sydney, and eventually find him murdered with other members of staff, She emerges out of the woods with a cleaver dressed as The Butcher. Lee shoots her with a handgun which makes Audrey and Monet distressed and causes them to scream frantically and in a rather comical way.

They are then kidnapped by the Polk family. They torture Lee and feed her leg to a tied up Audrey and Monet. At first, they refuse to eat, but are given no choice by the Polk's as they give them electric shocks every time they disobey. This scene is quite disturbing as the Polk's show no mercy for their actions and are clearly enjoying torturing the women.

All points rounded up, this episode is amazing, and it is the best episode of the season so far!

What happened to the storyline?
audaciousness11 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I don't mind gore or true horror, when it's done tastefully. But the whole scene with the Polks *eating* Lee's meat (gross!!!) went on far too long and the body horror was truly blown out of proportion in this episode.

I loved episodes 1-5 because it told a story, and there was gore but it complimented the storyline in an interesting way. And now? Everyone is killing their husbands, friends, exes for like *no actual reason*, I mean Shelby killing Matt like that was totally unrealistic. All that's happening now is running around the house with people swinging axes and murder and bloodshed everywhere. There is NO STORY going on here anymore like there was for the first 5 episodes.

Disappointing and unsettling. This is not "American Horror Story" anymore, this is something out of the books of Saw or Sinister.

A waste of time
rover-344025 November 2016
What can one say about episode 8 in this series of AHS? Not much to be honest. The script must have taken a good 3 minutes to write as the whole time was taken up with a lot of screaming and shouts of "Oh my god!!!!!" I kept reminding myself that I have seen this sort of stuff a dozen times before in programs where kids go to an empty house which is not really empty but has some demented freaks lurking in the shadows that spends their time running around chopping the kids into pieces with lots of screams and shouts of "Oh my god!!!" added to the sound track.

At least the Walking Dead has gore - maybe too much for some - and a story but this awful episode had no story to it what ever. The first five episodes of this series I found fairly good entertainment but with episode six it just began to slide downhill ending up with this wreak of an episode. I expect more death and blood in the remaining episodes but I wont be watching as I neither care who survives or dies. Another reason I wont be watching it anymore as giving the series good ratings will only encourage them to produce programs with no story lines except for more of "Oh my god!!!" written into the dialog. Lots of good programs out there in TV land with good well written story lines for me to watch rather than this gore fest.
