  • While it's never shown, characters mention that Sonic was tortured for 6 months while he was in Eggman's Prison.
  • Sonic is swallowed by a giant snake in one level. He escapes alive and unharmed. The sequence itself is less than 10 seconds and the incident is treated as if it never happened.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The level Sunset Heights is a very intense level. It take place in a city under seige by Dr. Eggman. Giant robots roam around and destroy several building as they are being shot at by several turrets. Buildings get shot by fireballs and explode while others are simply on fire. Loud sirens and alarms can be heard throughout all of this.
  • Infinite himself is quite a frightening villain. His mask shows only one eye and the other is blacked out, he is very coldhearted and his voice is intimidating. He is shown to be borderline sadistic and takes pleasure in the suffering of others.
  • While it's not shown, it's mentioned that 80% of the resistance soldiers die fighting in a city siege. One soldier can be briefly heard screaming in pain over the radio
  • The final battle may be intense for some players.
  • One of the more mature sonic games, right up there with sa2
  • If the game were to be a movie it would be rated PG-13 for sequences of sci-fi violence and action, thematic elements and disturbing behavior.
