Warning: Spoilers
You can try and predict this show, and you may even nail it sometimes, but they will always sneak one by you. This episode was all about Jessica from the start, and when i picked up on it early with the flashbacks i really enjoyed the move by the writers even before i knew it was leading up to her departure from the firm.

So far Season 6 has been very different as expected, the writing is definitely not as strong as past seasons, but i still like the unknown of where they are going. Plus how could you follow up Season 5? That was the season we all were waiting for since Mike joined the firm; which brings me to my next point.

With Mike out of prison now the show's formula is gone, the secret, the anxiety of when he is going to get caught is no longer there so it makes me curious what is the show's next course of action

Jessica Leaving the firm is huge, never thought of her as human, she always came off cold, cynical, and never really cared for anyone else. This episode change that, and i would never deny her importance to this show like her or not, and this cannot be permanent, however she needs to be brought back at a climatic time.

So we will wait, draw up theories, make guesses, say we like this, we don't like that but in the end Suits always has an ace in the hole.

They always catch us with something new and exciting.

Warning: Spoilers
One of the best episodes in the series so far. They caught us from behind with Jessica leaving the firm in order to pursue the rest of her life with Jeff Malone. Louis is actually pursuing his love with that interior designer, and well Harvey continues being a badass by using the traders to keep his oldest client into the firm. If only Mike had a bigger part in this episode it would have been perfect. I also love the direction the show is going in, with the merger Pearson Specter Litt may have with Robert Zane. I'm excited to see how the series is going to go now that Harvey may have to work directly with Robert Zane. After watching this mid-season finale, If I had to highlight this episode in one sentence it would be; Lawyers are nothing but power hungry bottom feeders anyway. Amazing show, amazing season, and amazing characters. Good job with this episode suits.

A Few Good Men

Warning: Spoilers
Character development at its best. For the first time everyone in this firm did something for themselves and not for their beloved firm.Jessica followed her heart that possibly removes her from series.Louis found love and fought for it.Mike and Rachel at last happy and together. As far as regards Harvey,oh man, that cry due to Jessica's quit and Donna at last with him!I was crying whole last 10 minutes. All references to "A Few Good Men" the movie which inspired lots of people at their 30s to become lawyers were a Christmas gift.I don't know where this show now is directed since Jessica left and Mike is not a fraud hiding anymore, but I can't wait the continuance at January. To Pearson- Specter-Litt!(glass raised)

No Better TV Show
scottkursch8 March 2019
I'm sure there have been better TV series that have aired in modern times, but I currently cannot find ANYTHING on the level of SUITS. I'm no authority on TV drama quality and I've never even watched GOT or Walking Dead, but based on everything I *have* seen, nothing quite compares to this show. For me, it's like striking gold and everything about this show is somehow anointed or something.

The background soundtrack has always been excellent but this episode's music was so powerful and effective, especially the outro scene. I mention "anointed" because it seems as if every aspect of production is a home run. Through six Seasons I can't recall any lousy acting, as though there is something in the atmosphere on set. Each guest star or cast addition falls in line and on par with the rest. I've said before, the writers may run out of gold at some point, as is the case with many long running series, but I haven't seen it yet. So I'm not sure if this production is so far above the others or the others are just lacking, but I hope it's not the latter. It's a shame more shows are not meeting the same standard. Perhaps by the time I'm up to the current Season, I'll have found another gem. Not sure what effect the absence of Meghan or Gina will have, but we'll see. In the mean time this episode gets another 10/10.

What will Suits do next?!
tribal_trudy_0424 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This was a great episode. I loved the focus on Jessica Pearson (who has always been one of my favourite characters since I recently got into Suits from Season 5). Her commitment to the innocence case and her cross examination in Court was brilliant, especially due to the ethical and internal dilemma of having to pick saving her firm over saving a man's life. I loved the flashbacks giving an insight into Jessica's earlier life- she has always been someone who knows what she wants and goes for it. That's incredibly inspiring to see. This was Suits drama at its best AND Gina Torres portrayed the emotional dilemmas of Jessica perfectly.

And then the writers throw that spanner in, when we discover (right at the end) that she will be leaving to pursue her love. I was emotionally distraught during those moments. They remind us why we love Jessica Pearson and how incredibly strong she is as a character in the show, and then they take her away. I thought the episode was great, but I will be in serious mourning for the strong female character that was Jessica Pearson, and her superb wardrobe that I can only hope to emulate one day..... This is why I could not give the episode 10 out of 10. My favourite character is gone and I am truly sad. But good luck to Gina Torres in her next chapter, and I do hope that the door may be open for her to return to Suits as a guest star for a few episodes.

I can already tell that I will have Jessica withdrawals so I will be watching Suits from the very beginning on Netflix due to this mid-season break.

I am now interested to see where Suits will go next, and more importantly, I question will I still care now that Jessica is gone? I still find Louis and Harvey interesting, and both are very enjoyable to watch as actors. But I do feel that the show will be a little unbalanced without a strong female character. I hope Rachel comes more into her own now that Mike is out of prison. I liked her character development whilst he was away, but I do find her very annoying when she's with him.

Mmmm...what will Suits do next?......

The most important lesson
rhviorel1 August 2022
Something that we all should know, there's more in life then work! There's love, and family and hobbys and traveling, and enjoying the money. Money's no good if you don't enjoy it and work every day from sunrise till sunset!

PRIORITIES ( FINALLY A SUITS EPISODE THE WAY IT HAS BEEN ALWAYS) )
Essay-Kun24 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
IT'S BACK TO HOW IT WAS.

It never works the way you want it to work.

The real trouble starts now.

Back to square 1.

~ Never thought Jessica would think about leaving the firm.

~ But there comes a time that people wanna leave but it changes. When your thinking changes. She feels emotionally vulnerable right now. Maybe she'll come back someday.

~ As for Louis's case, that was pure sh**t, This is what happens when you're desperate.

Louis went for the most messed up girl. He could possibly go after. DRAMA EVERYWHERE.

Now he might think it's the right choice for him but it isn't.

We always accept the love we think we deserve and he deserves a better, like a hell lot better.

~ As for Mike, soon he's gonna feel that the consultant thing is tricky. Nobody will take him seriously and pass on him.

And he's always gonna be behind the scenes might as well start pulling the strings as well.

People do it sooner or later.

They're pushing Rachel's character in season 6 which is kind annoying to me.

A Lot to Munch On
Hitchcoc4 September 2023
There are so many things going on here. First of all, we are going to say goodbye to Jessica. She comes to the realization that while her name was first on the firm, who was she actually helping? A bunch of rich people trying to get richer or stay being rich. Michael is in a tough spot because while he is out, there is no way he will ever practice law again with a felony conviction. He could never even consider standing before the bar. We finally have the Bailey trial where Jessica shines one last time, confronting the father of the dead girl as he admits to manipulating the case with his actions after her death. And Harvey needs to do some recon to get the firm back on its feet because clients are dropping like you know what. Good episode with lots of implications.

Underwhelming
todors-marko4 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I really like this show but this season and this episode in practicular are a let down. The way the case ended was just a joke. That case is not over. It just proves that there has been some tampering not that the man is innocent. I hope they will improve in the future.

Too many major changes
henriquegfn3 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I came here for the first time to write a review because it was specially awful and unexpected.

Too many absurd things happens in this episode. I could have accepted one or maybe two of them, but certainly not all of them:

Mike's return, Stutter being threatened to become a homeless man, Tara accepting Louis' proposal after one single date, and finally Jessica leaving the firm after so many years ahead of it.

I am sorry if the authors wanted to give the series a new face, but this was too big a move and I felt just disconnected to their universe.

Mixed feelings
Just-A-Girl-1418 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First, I have to say I'm disappointed with the way they ended Leonard Bailey's case. They said it was "a hell of a cross examination" but I didn't feel it at all. What's so hard about breaking a grieving father and what did it even prove? Just because the father interfered with the first trial and got a junky witness to disappear doesn't mean Bailey didn't do it. That's not proof. Her testimony was not reliable in the first place. I hoped they would prove he didn't do it but they didn't even convince the father. He did that because he thought Bailey was guilty and he didn't want him to escape justice. There's no reason the father would want the wrong man to pay for the death of his daughter. It wasn't just about getting him out of prison and death row, it was about proving he is innocent. They didn't do that!

Second, I don't like the idea that Jessica is leaving. She is the managing partner. I don't see how Harvey or Louise can replace her. She was never my favorite character but she was the head of the firm. A firm that is not yet recovered. I was moved with the flashback she had as a young self with her father but it didn't feel right. She lived and breathed Pearson Specter, Litt. It's not like her to walk away. I wish you'd stayed but since she leaving I'll have to see what it would be without her. Maybe they can make it work but as of this minute it feels to me like too big of a change.
