Did a rich young web entrepreneur Ian Dey kill his girlfriend because she was leaving him for Trent Meyers her old middle school teacher boyfriend? If so, then one lesson might be don't buy a Tesla as you can't easily fit a body in a frunk. New word on me too. It means front trunk as the Tesla does not have a rear trunk. Neither did my 1968 Super Beetle but no neologism back in the day. New character introduced Camryn Manheim as a Deputy Chief who is bucking Deputy Chief Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) for the position of Chief of Police. This could be karma for the grief Raydor gave chief Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson in The Closer. Mannheim makes her character as unlikable as possible and has her run at Acting Chief Howard to complain about Raydor every chance she gets. Then there is another subplot with Raydor's adopted gay son fretting about what his boyfriend wants to "talk" about. Not a bad episode but more of a let's add a new conflict to keep the series fresh. I can do without the political bickering and backstabbing: I find the whodunits are what I watch for.

What purpose Rusty?

Since the beginning of the show I questioned the purpose this teen bratt serves the series. It is just my opinion the entire run would be better served if Rusty never appeared at the beginning!
Unfortunately this is not the progression taken. I am firmly convinced the program would be far more entertaining without Rusty or Sharon.
Okay, we're done... For now!
