Not enough shows
shonamagouyrk9 August 2019
I love haunted Case files, I have gotten familiar with each of the different investigative teams. I feel that every team should do a home cleansing if it's needed and if a spirit is trapped, send it into the light, I know most do that. But I do have a problem with a father and daughter team, they go in, and get these demons all stirred up, NEVER HELP BY CLEANSING, but the first time she gets touched the father picks up and they run scared. I think that them doing that on every investigation, are doing more harm!! Period. They shouldn't be allowed to be on this show. It kinda reflects everyone But I love it, and I'm hoping they'll be more. The last one on demand is about the salon.

Want to like it more
aDingoEttMyBaby10 May 2019
Just discovered this show today. I have YouTubeTV which just added the Travel Channel. (Holy Moly, TTC has a boatload of ghost shows! lmao!)

Anywho!

I really like this show but two things stick out:

A. Why do they consistently hire overly young or skinny women for the reenactments that don't reflect who the real person is? Real women are actors, too. And before the snarky thoughts (I know and love my interwebz peeps) I'd always been a skinny gal. So it's not that. The contrast between the men & women is jarringly obvious and highlights the sneaky extent of problems Hollywood has with women.

B. The actual footage lmao! So we have these reenactors running around with cameras. Johh Hines ("Hit 'em with the HEIN!") gets pinned up against the wall by a demon. The other guy he is with sees this and feels helpless. Then the "actual footage" is the reaction shot?! LOLOLOL. I'm yelling "SHOW US THE DEMON PINNING HIM AGAINST THE WALL!!!!"

I want to like this program more. I can deal with the narrator (he reminds me of how the People's Court VO guy does a low growl whisper of the cases coming into court, so it makes me LOL) Even the same investigators doesn't bother me. But the stuff that is telling me: "We think our viewers are stupid" is taking me out of the fun.

Look, I know what this is. It's just silly stories, overblown, likely 90% untrue. But I want to immerse into it and have fun. Hire realistic actresses and don't show "actual footage" of mundane moments directly after an exciting reenactment of NO actual footage.

ps. It's funny watching John Hines give very calm comments about how scared he was. Reminds me of overly calm John Hein of the Howard Stern Show where "Hit 'em with the Hein!" started.

Similar To Some Of The Better Re-Enacted Haunting Shows
AudioFileZ3 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Personally I like the re-enacted paranormal shows better than those which feature ghost hunters attempting to capture paranormal evidence. My favorite is Paranormal Witness, while I also find Paranormal Survivor good to a slightly lesser degree. What makes these shows better, and scarier, is seeing and hearing the real victims tell their haunting along with well produced re-enactments featuring actors. They often feature the addition of paranormal investigators, mediums, and, sometimes, clergy and others who attempt to cleanse the spirits. Haunted Case Files follows a similar formula, but it is different. It seems the emphasis here is on the investigator's efforts to understand the high strangeness. For me, anyway, the fact the real victims are utilized as much in telling the story makes it quite different if similar. It makes sense since carbon copy shows rarely are as good as the templates. So, a different template is good. The shows often feature three stories in one episode so they move through each haunting quicker. While the similar shows, especially Paranormal Witness, often seeks to find a cleansing resolution this show more often doesn't do that as it just documents the investigations primarily. The best thing is that it still feels real with ample mystery and scares. Also, the places investigated are not redundant, but are of places and people not yet covered by other shows. Quite of few of the properties are very old and have a rich, oftentimes dark, history. So, if you're like me in preferring stories of real victim's haunting over the crews of ghost hunters attempting to find anything then I can highly recommend this new series.

Worst Ghost show ever
donny-3872228 November 2018
Haunted Ghost Files is a horrible tv show with low production values. They use the same paranormal investigators who are scared over every place they visit. Every time they say it was the most scared they've ever been. They also say when they get pushed by a spirit that it's never happened before. Even though the same investigators said the same thing five straight episodes. They never remove the spirits/Ghosts. They are a bunch of cowards for professionals who've supposedly been in thousands of calls. Weak!

I love the show but..
lovely_little_reject4 September 2020
The father daughter crew Allen and Anna seem inexperienced and sloppy and way too damned scared all the time, their evps suck, you can't even hear it most of the time, they just "tell you what it said" and say that it's "clear as day" it's not. Same with their pictures. "It's clearly a woman in a dress by the piano" NO it is not CLEARLY, I can hardly see anything..

That's all. Love the rest.

Haunted Case Files - Misdirections...
djaycanfield26 October 2017
Watched 5 episodes today, and not buying most of the dialog... Some people, who may be sensing a non-Corporeal Ethereal entity or being, should not be encouraged into believing subjective definitions, that what they are sensing is really the spirit(s) of deceased persons or interactive demons... Your investigators and unsuspecting people with encounters, have been deceived by the philosophy or ideology, from the 'Mantra of Mediums'... C'mon Man...

Too phony
africe23 April 2021
Way over the top when it comes to re-enactments. Especially with the Arizona couple paranormal investigators. She is constantly possessed and there is no way they would continue to do this if the attacks were that bad! I call bullcrap on most of the stories. I've seen the places they use many times on established ghost hunter shows and it's never to this extent. Drop the "god" complex. You are not that important. If.... IF there were demons and spirits that powerful these folks would be dead by now. Especially season 2 episode 7. Marchosias commands 30 legions of demons! These people would be toast!!! Come on man!!!!

I also agree with the other reviewers pertaining to the father/daughter team. I call bullcrap on them too! There is no way they would continue if she were attacked this much. Also, the daughter becoming possessed? TOTAL BS!!! This show embelishes way too much. So much that it becomes hard to continue viewing.

Narrator needs to change
krodd-1347824 February 2019
You have a show that has potential but your narrator needs to change . Listening to him speak sounds like a joke, I can't take him seriously at all, he sounds like he is new to tv and is reading word by word. Many of your actors can speak better than he can...I won't watch your show because of this. I am hoping you will take this comment seriously and make a change so I might be able to watch your show one day. Thanks.
