A New Direction

Ganymede is more interesting than ever. One thing that is sad but impressive is, like Game of Thrones, it is incredibly indifferent to death. Good people die because that's what would happen if evil took a foothold. There is a great deal of self interest everywhere. When Earth created all these societies, the founders had no idea what would happen if they lost control of their invention. Now other forces have weighed in. We have two masters weighing in, former partners, and their peripheral people. We also have an excellent new center to all this, involving a botanist from Ganymede.

A glimpse of the future
wms-9274126 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The Expanse is a clever and well-written series about a future where humanity has colonized the solar system, and in many ways it's incredibly realistic.

There's a scene which depicts stark, unnecessary and soulless cruelty, as all Ganymede refugees on one of the transport vessels from the inner planets are spaced. It's heartless and unimaginably cold and very, very human. It's a reminder that no matter how far we advance technologically, we will still prevent ourselves from advancing morally and ethically. I hated watching this scene, but I respected the program for including it, because in just a few seconds of screen time they spoke volumes about what we are. Humans are rarely humane.

What the serious.... F..k!!!

You'll know it when it comes... The Expanse is nothing if not a surprising series. Deep characterisations and a political plot worthy of any Clancy novel...

Visceral, aggravating, frustrating and yet somehow based on our sordid history we can totally believe that the future will be just as shitty as the past....

Incredible, moral, though provoking and emotionally challenging television in the guise of a high quality sci-fi programme...

10 totally subjective stars from me for sheer balls and storytelling prowess!

Another good episode in an impressive season

A nice mix of good action, tension and drama within the crew. Main characters keep getting more interesting. Fred & Drummer really had a big moment in this episode, the new guy from Ganymede is interesting too, well cast and well played.

A good episode in this impressive season so far, already 8 out of 13 episodes and it still keeps giving good to awesome episodes. No surprise it got renewed for a third season.
