Trivia
When the family is in the motorhome waiting at the checkpoint going into Yakima, it seems fairly obvious that the rear view mirror and center post for the windshield represents a Cross.

Goofs
The sheriff shows a flyer and describes his nephew as missing in a maroon SUV. The flyer states "maroon SUV" in two places with a plate number RVL-6768. A short while later a Subaru tailgate lands on the farm with the correct plate, but the SUV is now green.

Dumb Decisions

Cliche' episode - ridiculous decision making, not just excusable as "people under pressure" bad decisions. More like "escapees from Darwinism" bad decisions. Exhibiting almost zero survivalist behavior.
