Terrible
kelpe192510 July 2017
It's rare that I write on movies, but this is an exception. I was given false hope from a top reviewer that this movie turns out to be awesome... but all I have seen is C rated performances. It's like watching a high school film, yet may have some better looking folks. Whomever the director is should focus on finding a day job. This movie is beyond repair.

Z list b movie
garylyons-912738 July 2017
Save your time and money, the lead Calum Best mostly known for reality shows, and being the son of the late George Best. The film is so unbelievably wooden and has no action that a kid wouldn't laugh at poor budget, washed up reality TV show lead, and old page 3 girls even the trailers won't let you comment and the films title was changed last min to avoid negative press 1/10

an absolute trainwreck of a film
bxtmedia7 July 2017
The film was an utter disaster. The film felt amateur, probably due to its producers being Richard Colton, an editor who's only real roles have been that of an editor and as such has much to learn about producing himself, and Calum Best, who appears to have made this film simply to place himself as a main character in a movie.

The script seems forced and comedic value is lacking to say the least. The Russian accents weren't great and as such it was hard to take the mafia scenes seriously at all.

I also find it interesting how the name of the film was changed after production from 'name of the game' to 'dangerous game', making it appear that they wish to hide bad reviews from its original viewings

Didn't get it (NO SPOILERS)
Narcissist0017 March 2020
This actually sounds like a decent movie if you look from afar. I wish I had read the reviews before watching and saved myself the awful experience of this dreadful movie. It seems like a bunch of random people got some movie equipment that they didn't know how to use and thought up a bunch of movies but they all had different ideas. Callum Best has to be one of the worst 'actors' in history but I'm sure he actually thinks he's good. If you like the sound of this movie and you like Callum Best...I still think you should avoid this.

A friend helps you move. A real friend helps you move the body.
nogodnomasters21 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Chris Rose (Calum Best) is a top football player and bad news Adam (Amar Adatia) is his life long best friend. Adam gets in trouble with the Russian mafia and drugs Chris into criminal activity. Of course there is a rivalry with a stereotypical bad Frenchman (Benjamin Griffin).

The film put me to sleep. The dialogue was horrible.. Calum Best can not act, we all know that, but his support cast was not much better, Amar Adatia hesitates on his lines and then gives a bad delivery. The Russians were comical stereotypes.

Absolutely Horrendous film
rbenty-4376818 March 2019
I was unfortunate to pay good money to go and see the premier of this. What a complete waste of money, time and effort, and a night i lost that i can never get back

I didnt expect to see a classic, but after a few minutes it became aparant that this was a completely boring film and a waste of time. I couldnt leave as i was with friends, and had paid a decent amount of money, and had to suffer it for the entirity. If it was on video or usb, it would have gone off after a few minutes.

And i can assure you the much lauded after party was just as dreadful

If i could give this film (if you can call it that) less than 1 star then i would.

No sense of danger here
TheLittleSongbird1 January 2019
Expectations were not high for 'Dangerous Game', having heard how terrible it was from those whose opinions are respected and trusted by me more often than it isn't, but the idea for the story did leave me mildly intrigued. Also try to see as many films as possible that appear in the recommended for you section (for some inexplicable reason, but maybe due to having seen slightly similar films in the past), with so much it has taken a long time and increases all the time just as my commitments have.

Part of me was hoping that 'Dangerous Game' may be marginally better than expected, even if it was still not a good film, and not be as bad as all that. Have been known to go against the grain, whether feeling a panned film is not that bad or an acclaimed not that good, though certainly think far more highly of critics than most do here and will never resort to bashing them. Seeing it, unfortunately 'Dangerous Game' is that bad and do have to completely agree with the many people (barely any positive opinions) that feel the same. Saying that it's bad is being far too kind, and quite insulting to the word bad, would call it irredeemably awful and the reasons why have been summed up well already so not an awful lot to add really.

'Dangerous Game' looks amateurish visually, with such a drab look and one can really tell from the complete lack of slickness that the film was made in a hurry and with no real care or love. The audio constantly sounded like it couldn't be figured out what volume to record it at and is balanced poorly on both extremes of over-bearing and flat.

The script from the first line to the last is forced and as soggy as wet socks when caught in heavy rain. There is nothing in the story that's interesting or surprising, there are no thrills, no suspense or sense of jeopardy. Everything feels so easily telegraphed well before it happens, the atmosphere is bland and the storytelling can be confusing to the point sometimes of incoherence as it goes off on a tangent more times than one can count.

None of the characters are interesting let alone worth rooting for. The character development is next to none and the relationships have no charm or tension, plus never really build or properly establish themselves. Many of them are stereotypes behaving in an irritating and sometimes illogical way, with the villains being more unintentionally comical than threatening. The acting all round is poor at best, headed by a completely charisma and likeability-deprived Calum Best.

All in all, awful. 1/10 Bethany Cox

Much better than I thought it would be.
insideoutlastyle28 June 2017
Okay, so I have to hold my hands up here because when I watched the first few seconds of the trailer I thought 'This looks like it could be a B movie, then after that few seconds I'm thinking actually this is going to be alright'... Just when I thought it was finished 'BANG' totally shocked and did not expect that.

Do not watch
hfosse8 November 2017
This movie has a worse story line than going to the shop to buy a pack of cookies. It seems like they tried to cook up something that included all the "cool" bits and pieces from other movie, but utterly failed to do so.

If you feel bored beyond recognition, it's better to stick your head in the toilet, rather than watching this movie.

Dangerous Lame
calzonio-171675 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Imagine a film that starred mannequins and was written by a brain dead squirrel, that film would be better than Dangerous Game.

Callum Best stars as Chris, a top premiership striker who earns £5,000 a week making his earnings on par with a third choice goalkeeper. So either his agent is numerically dyslexic or ripping him off.

Amar Adatia plays Adam, Chris' best mate who is a debt ridden alcoholic who may or may not have bipolar. He gets in debt with some people with bad Russian accents, this somehow starts the plot.

Several page 3 girls appear and attempt to act, this goes as well as you think it would.

This film reduced me to tears, of laughter.
