Disparities Revealed
wwkirk1 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The episode is devoted primarily to the background of Grant and Kathryn's relationship, as well as where it seems to be headed.

The biggest takeaway, though, is that medical resources in the future, while advanced, are allocated in a very unequal way. The elect get premium treatment, while ordinary people, including even most travelers, get squat.

Err... What?

Warning: Spoilers
This specific episode, on re-watch, caused me to pause it and leave this review. Why on Earth would using the key fob to unlock a car cause the car alarm to go off?

I'll forgive the stupid stasis thing, although an inflatable graphene crash balloon as an impact safety device, only big enough for two, would have been more sensible and more plausible.

[6.7] Scary Nanites here, super Nanites there

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 10: An entire episode "dedicated" to Kathryn. That's just awesomeness in the most negative way in Travelers. Whiny, ever unhappy, fussing for nothing and everything. The kind of woman that is hopelessly unbearable, "sky_on_head" unfortunate and "April_fool_statistics" makes minimum 20-25% of the gender population.

Aside that, interesting and medically futuristic episode with the ever lovely and sophisticated Nanites being a great part of it.

Any Kathryn is Too Much Kathryn
mrobertson-2453827 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Kathryn is far and away the character I just can't stand. Constantly whining. Constantly griping. Never stops to think. Never thinks about anyone other than herself. Goes off on a temper tantrum at the least little thing. Carly is probably my next least favorite character, but I completely agreed when she asked Marcy to just shut Kathryn up.

Other problems - if Phillip can dress up as a lawyer, why can't he at least clean up before going to get Mac's SUV. And in what world does he get out of an international airport after attacking a security guard?

Marcy has some great moments, and Dr. D is pretty cool, and Phillip is pretty funny at the end. And Mac learning more about who MacLaren was is a good thing. But overall, not a great episode.

This episode reminds you how great the series is, cuz it's 1/2 awful

Warning: Spoilers
This episode reminds you how great the series is, cuz it's 1/2 awful. Overall, I love this series. There are like 10 great characters ... well written, complex, good back stories. Then, there's Kathryn. A privileged, whiny Karen. Every scene with her and her husband, lead Erik McCormack, is painful. It is impossible to understand why Agent McLaren puts up with her for even a week. He could have left her and preserved her future history and helped the show. The one part of the episode that is interesting is when Kathryn becomes the voice of the nanites and explains to MacLeren's subconscious what is going on.
