I was a little disappointed that the episode did not immediately follow up on the Ray and Eldon confrontation and instead skipped ahead, but this was still a really gripping finale. They set the stage for a similar, but just as entertaining second season and they are slowly and slowly making Eldon get darker, ala the show's (in my guess) inspiration Breaking Bad.

Good finale, the show got good the second half of the first season.

Flashbacks?
Hitchcoc2 January 2017
I suppose the writers decided to try something different, using flashbacks after Chance has been rescued after falling off a cliff. For me, it was anticlimactic and disappointing. Chance has suffered head trauma and can't remember the events of the night before. There are two people dead but he doesn't get to know who they are. Eventually, information gets through to him. When released from the hospital he is approached by the cop that he was in contact with (we thought something had happened to him, so he became a red herring). He makes his way back to Dee and they tell him the story. It isn't what happened (because I don't want to spoil it) but the way they presented everything that is a disappointment. I felt things were overdone and contrived. Also, Chance's character is all over the place. I'm not sure I could watch another season.
