For years, the panelists on “The Masked Singer” have thrown out names like Corey Feldman, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken while trying to figure out what celebrities were disguised on stage. This week, those names finally became true.
“The Masked Singer” revealed the latest celebrities to be revealed on Wednesday night’s Group B finale, and it was Feldman as the Seal and Studdard/Aiken together as the Beets.
“For about 25 years, there was this kind of dark age where nobody really wanted to admit that my music was a real thing or that it existed or that I was doing it on a full capacity,” Feldman told Variety. “It was kind of overlooked and ignored for a long time.

In the film, Khushalii essays the role of a certified commercial diver, and climax witnesses her character overdosing on drugs. For her, not just shooting, but preparing for the scene was tough too.

New Delhi, Nov 16 (Ians) The trailer for actress Khushali Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Starfish’ is out and it gives an insight into her curious world of underwater exploration, diving, and the ghosts of her past which haunt her.
Set in Europe, the actress who essays the role of Tara, a rebellious girl is heard saying: “Memories are weird, they are unpredictable. They are deep, as deep as the ocean, and that is my life.”
Throughout this scene, she is seen alongside a bunch of other professional divers, trying to unearth something. Then it cuts to her previous life where she falls in love with actor Ehan Bhatt’s character Neil, a free-spirited musician.
Diving into his world of music, he too hesitantly explores her world of diving and when he asks her about how she isn’t afraid of drowning, she coyly replies: “I’m afraid of the living, not the dead.

Singer Arijit Singh’s latest single ‘Fanna Kar Lo’ for the film ‘Starfish’ is a free-spirited, rebellious romance. A full on mellifluous romantic electronic pop adventure, the track brings together the underwater worlds of actress Khushali Kumar’s ‘Rebel-Tara’, and the musical world of actor Ehan Bhatt’s ‘Neil-The Free Spirited’.
A simplistic composition, the song is primarily blending elements of electronic pop with the occasional bits of ‘70s style synth-pop, merging them with bits of symphonic music.
The composition is nonetheless creative as it does exactly what it is meant to do, which was to create a mood of timeless endless life, filled with romance and adventure.
‘Fanna Kar Lo’ is mainly carried by Arijit Singh’s vocals who at this point needs little praise. Putting his heart and soul into it, the vocals of Arijit are the best part of the song as it sublimely blends with the...

This review of “The Suicide Squad” was first published on July 28, 2021.
In the slender book entitled “Sequels That Improve Upon the Original,” in the chapter marked “Because They Hired Someone Who Better Understood the Tone,” you’ll find “The Suicide Squad,” a follow-up to 2016’s “Suicide Squad” that doubles down on what the first movie got right while learning from its predecessor’s mistakes.
I noted, in my review of “Suicide Squad,” that the film wanted desperately to follow in the footsteps of “Guardians of the Galaxy” as a film in which a group of thrown-together mismatched misfits overcome their mutual loathing and learn how to defeat a common enemy. As such, the fact that this follow-up was written and directed by “Guardians” filmmaker James Gunn represents a step in the right direction. (Industry gossip in 2016 blamed the studio for watering down original director David Ayer’s darker vision after...

This originally premiered at the Edinburgh & Busan Film Festivals in 2016, and already opened in UK cinemas four years ago as well. But is only now getting an official US release direct-to-vod this fall. Starfish tells the story of a couple whose love is tested to its limit after their perfect life falls apart in a single moment. Tom Riley and Joanne Froggatt star as a husband and wife, a father and mother, who struggle when Tom is diagnosed with Sepsis. "It is the story of Tom and Nic Ray's love, and the survival of that love against all odds." The cast includes Phoebe Nicholls, Michele Dotrice, and Daisy Moore. It looks like an intensely emotional film to watch,...

We have an eclectic assortment of titles on tap for this week’s home media releases, including some Hammer Horror, a post-apocalyptic television series, several brilliant modern genre classics, and a handful of indie horror to boot. Classic horror fans are definitely going to want to pick up Scream Factory’s Collector’s Edition Blu-ray for Kiss of the Vampire, and if you’ve been holding out for the definitive release of A.T. White’s Starfish, your prayers have been answered with a new Deluxe Edition Blu that also includes a CD. 12 Monkeys: The Complete Series is headed to both formats on Tuesday, and if you’ve somehow missed out on seeing The Taking of Deborah Logan, you can remedy that by buying either the Blu-ray or DVD (and then thank me later).
Other releases for July 14th include Jurassic Shark, Game of Death, The Black Cat (2020), Killing Brooke,...

2019 has been a very busy year so far for the horror genre, as we’ve been getting a ton of films coming out over the last few months, which can make it hard to keep up. Here’s a look at a trio of projects that I recently had the opportunity of viewing: Mary Harron’s Charlie Says, which arrives in theaters in Los Angeles today, writer/director A.T. White’s Starfish, and In Memory Of from filmmaker Eric Stanze.
Charlie Says: For Charlie Says, filmmaker Mary Harron explores the manipulative spell that the infamous Charles Manson (Matt Smith) cast over his followers, and in this case, three different women—Leslie Van Houten (Hannah Murray), Susan Atkins (Marianne Rendón), and Patricia Krenwinkel (Sosie Bacon)—who were incarcerated for their involvement in the brutal killings that rocked Los Angeles (and the entire world) in 1969. The trio were incarcerated together, kept away from the general population,...

The film, James D’Arcy’s feature directorial debut, is set in Tuscany. It centers on bohemian London artist Robert (Neeson), who returns to Italy with his estranged son Jack (Richardson) to make a quick sale of the house they inherited from his late wife. The once-beautiful villa is in a terrible state of disrepair, and the pair set about restoring it, with help from the locals.

A.T. White's cosmic horror Starfish is coming to select theaters on a roadshow across the Us this March then on VOD May 28th. Yesterday, a beautiful illustrated theatrical poster was released. Imagine our surprise when we found out that Toronto based comic illustrator, the immensely talented Cameron Stewart was behind the piece. We are suckers for illustrated posters, especially when they are very good, as it is in this case. Stewart's illustration surely captures the intimacy and solitude of Virginia Gardner's character Aburey from White's film, conveying the tone of his cosmic horror very well. With reality rapidly fraying at the edges, Aubrey finds herself following a string of clues left after the death of her...

"A girl. A mixtape. And the end of the world." The Orchard has released the first official trailer for an indie cosmic horror film titled Starfish, which is the feature debut of musician/filmmaker A.T. White. The originally premiered at Fantastic Fest last fall, and also played at the Morbido Film Fest in Mexico. Starfish is described as a "unique, intimate and honest" portrayal of a girl grieving for the death of her best friend. And it just happens to take place on the day the world ends as we know it, when a mysterious signal from an unknown dimension summons the end of days. Virginia Gardner stars as Aubrey, who discovers a tape labeled "this mixtape will save the world." Forced to fight off the encroaching creatures, she sets out to find more tapes and (hopefully?) save the world. Also starring Christina Masterson, Eric Beecroft, Natalie Mitchell, Shannon Hollander,...
