Worth it

I liked this anime. The story is simple and plain but the romance was what got me. The romance was cute. I watched it during my leisure time and I enjoyed it. I guess it will be worth of your while.

No spoilers exist

Season two of Amagami SS is called Amagami SS+ Plus. Regardless of whether you saw the first season or not, this review aims to please everyone. As a result, no spoilers exist. It's also important to remember that the majority of this review was written before the show's finale. Rather than completely rewriting the review, I included an additional paragraph at the conclusion for any views I felt you guys would be interested in knowing, as none of my thoughts have changed from the time I started writing it to the very end.

Let's just go back to the first season's concept as a recap. The story of Tachibana Junichi, who was dumped by his date on Christmas Eve two years prior, was told in Amagami SS. Although Junichi is currently quite depressed about his love life, there are numerous opportunities for him to go on the date that he was never able to secure.

The omnibus plot revolves around a guy named Junichi, who, in theory, meets six or seven different girls before Christmas Eve. Nonetheless, the narrative itself flows-to put it mildly-as though there are multiple universes at work. Technically speaking, he is not dating more than one girl at a time. In particular, the tale-which is broken up into four story arcs for each girl-highlights the many backstories associated with Junichi's interactions with each of the six females in an effort to get the Christmas Eve date that he was unable to secure in advance.

Having said that, the Amagami SS+ Plus season/show follows the same structure as the previous one, with 12 episodes total-two for each of the six females. The plot advances those storylines even though it doesn't always pick up where each arc in the first one left off. That being said, watching SS+ Plus requires watching the previous season due to the show's uniqueness and the fact that it is a straight sequel.

I thought SS+ Plus was mediocre at best, having seen the first season and finding it to be very enjoyable. With the exception of one or two excellent arcs, it accomplished what I had anticipated; perhaps it gave each character a little more nuance here and there, but overall, I didn't think it was very important to watch again. That is not to imply that you ought not to watch it. It's simply telling you not to expect too much from it. SS+ Plus is undoubtedly worth seeing if you liked and had a wonderful time with Amagami SS. All I can say is that if you watch SS+ and haven't watched the first season, you will feel very alone.
