With the lovely Sadie Calvano's character being shunted off rather abruptly this episode does mark the end of the first incarnation of 'Mom' (Anna Faris' character trying to raise her kids whilst dealing with her own Mum) and cements the focus of 'Mom 2.0' (Faris/Janney and the rest of the support group).
Despite these changes this show remains for the most part funny/warm hearted, and this is a good example of that.
