Watch it for fun, not wisdom
skylarlisa3 May 2017
I've read some poor reviews of this show. While I agree that it is not like a real "reality" show (which was never a secret), I like that it's just a feel good show. It's silly and fun. I don't expect a show like this to change my life but I appreciate that it takes my mind off of the stress of my day. I loved "Full House", "Step By Step", and "7th Heaven" when I was younger. Heck! I still watch "Full House" before bed. These women were a part of my childhood and I like that I get to see them as adults as well. I feel like I can relate to each of them in some way. If I'm being honest, I also like to see what they're wearing. Don't judge. Will they win an Emmy? Not likely. Will they make me smile? Yes 😊. Its one of those shows you don't need to read much into. Just enjoy.

Not a reality show
hsnyder-449-510932 May 2017
For those of you that think this is a reality show it is NOT. While it is an unscripted show it is more like Curb your Enthusiasm. The actresses all play themselves as do the guest stars, but it is exaggerated versions of themselves. This show is for anyone that was a fan of 90's shows, if these people aren't recognizable to you then you aren't going to like this show. It does fall short in some areas and could be better, but I still find it entertaining.

Funny and dorky

I recommand this to everyone who watched Step by step, Fuller House and 7th Heaven! funny seeing theese women together in a new show. It's a mockumentary and not too serious, but worth the watch. Nostalgic and refreshing humour.

This show is funny

I think this show is great. Its the same format as Modern Family but they are supposed to be playing "Themselves". They sit on the couch for the interviews and look at the camera deadpan at different moments during the show. A definite sitcom and not a reality show. I really am enjoying it.

Love the premise and all the child star cameos
sjreid200329 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Four episodes in, and we're hooked. Three child stars who remain friends into their 30's in Hollywood. If you're a fan of 90's sitcoms, you'll love this show. Too many hilarious references to count, like Jodie Sweetin (Full House's Stephanie Tanner) selling Mr. Bear on eBay. Lots of "Curb Your Enthusiasm"-type improv scenes, peppered with some adult humor (the girls stumble into an adult toy shop) and the occasional bleeped out F-bomb.

The story lines are a bit tired (shopping for a minivan and opting for a red sports car, being annoyed by the hippie yoga teacher). But there are enough laugh out loud moments to make it worth watching, for sure.

This is not a show to reminisce with your 'tween. Keep it between you and your partner...and maybe your mom, if she's had a glass or two of chardonnay.

Wow.

These ladies are boring to watch. The cast of Jodie and Beverley makes sense - as a 90's kid at least they are recognizable; Christine, not so much. It seems like they all got together and said, "We are so much funnier than these reality TV shows we watch...we should totally do a show of our own!" ...and then came up with boring plot lines and horribly contrived dialogue.

I personally really like this show. I grew up watching al three of those ladies. They're very funny and it's nice to see that they are more than likely going through what all is other mothers are going through. I also think it's great that they aren't always made up to look like beauty queens. Let's be real that's now how it works in real life. I'm happy they are doing the show and hope it has a good run.

Big let down
AdrienneGrayceMusic13 April 2018
I wanted to watch this so badly because Jodi and the rest of the girls are my age and I grew up with them. I was like a giddy school girl when I found out that the girls were doing a show. I thought it would be a real reality show, but it is more scripted than any reality show I've ever seen. It is supposed to be funny but I haven't laughed once..Could only watch a few episodes before the girls got on my nerves. I still love all of the actresses and will still follow their work, but this one did absolutely nothing for me.

It's an exaggerated reality, folks
meekster-0263018 April 2018
The low reviews are nonsense. This isn't a "reality" show. It's a parody of their life which is why you don't see their kids, spouses, etc... I am cracking up relating to all the parenting moments *cough* I also didn't want to buy a minivan *cough*

I also relate to - sorry - not knowing Christine Lakin (I watched Step by Step) but the kids ring no bells. She's funny AF though. I love everything about this show.

This show is hysterical!

The women on this show are all 20 years younger than me and still very relatable! They are a talented group who excel at comedy and their humor is aimed squarely at themselves. Yes it is about former 90's stars but the comedy and situations are timeless.

It's OK

I like all the actors but this show seems staged not like a real reality show it's like they can't turn of their act and be a real person not sure if I will watch the 2nd one very disappointed. They don't seem comfortable with the reality, I would like to see them be more themselves. I'm just puzzled about it if I had to rate it I would not even give it a quarter of a star

Lower your expectations and you'll enjoy it.
karenmwinters25 May 2018
I had no idea what to expect when I started watching this, but It's quite fantastic. I didn't have high expectations but was interested how this show would work. The three of them are awesome and are great with the improv. You can tell they are given a direction and they improvise the scene. The 90's child stars that cameo are also fun! I promise if you don't expect much you will get a lot in return.

Nostalgic and hilarious
wolfsong16118 April 2023
This is a really fun and funny show in which these actresses make fun of themselves and their memorable characters. It also has so much nostalgia with other guest stars from shows from the 80s.

It's light hearted comedy and I wish they could've done a lot more and had many more guest stars. There are times we want the 80s back but with some present day mood and that's exactly what this brings. I especially liked seeing that they are friends and are friends with other child stars.

If you liked the wholesome shows from that era, you'll like this one.

And these lines are because I need thirty more characters to make this review count.

Great fun!
Alex_Weasley24 November 2023
I love this show. I watched all of them as they grew up with me. I don't understand the poor ratings, what were people expecting? A kardashian type reality show? Urgh, no! These are hypothetical situations with funny outcomes. All three girls are hilarious.

If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, you will relate to a lot that is happening to them, even though you probably don't live in glamorous Beverly Hills. The everyday struggles with small kids, bigger kids, husbands, partners, pets, house, work, car, whatever it is, you will find something in this show to relate to.

I enjoyed every single episode, and all the famous cameos were a huge bonus!

For every 90's teen girl now Housewives/Bravo fans
adamstheb23 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
At first I was weary was not sure if this was real or not. It becomes blatantly obvious that they are playing exaggerated versions of themselves while not so secretly making fun of every Real Housewives series, especially Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Some scenes feel a bit awkward as you can tell it's improved and Beverly Mitchell really needs to grow into her improv skills which you see throughout the series. Mitchell you can tell starts growing back into her craft. Lakin and Sweetin just shine as naturals who never quite lost their groove. It's fun to see what 90's cameo is going to pop up around the corner and what other 90's heartthrobs can also appreciate making fun of themselves. For example Andrew Keegan playing an exaggerated version of himself in the first episode had me laughing a lot. Only downside with the cameos is the girls sometimes get outshined on their own show. As the series goes on they really figure out their place between reality TV and a skit show. As you watch you really start wondering just how much they are actually acting. This is also a great platform for Lakin to really get some much deserved love. Step by Step was a great show but often forgotten about in these reboot days of Hollywood. I love that Lakin has a such a great sense of humor to play on the subject that she's been "forgotten about". Lakin's comedic timing really shines in this. As for Jodie Sweetin she just naturally shines like she does in anything she's in recently. Sweetin really is the glue that holds them all together. So the point is give this show a chance on streaming especially for a night in with the girls or if you find yourself caught up on your favorite Bravo episodes of Real Housewives and need something new as well as a good laugh.
