Funny Romance but a little bit plain plot
peamapeam15 June 2016
This film is about a girl that have 10 years relationship with her boyfriend. And one day she met a strange guy on train and she was asked to one night stand with him.

It's funny. Moon Chae Won acting was adorable, she's both cute and beautiful. Her role is such a 'Tsundere' girl who always talk against her mind. And Yoo Yeon Seok is great act too. His role is a smart guy that always know his crush's mind.

By the way, the plot is simple. Nothing special, you can find many film like this. but I think that this film was saved by main actor (Chae Won and Yeon Seok), They're very well match in their role.

Conclusion. I f you want to watch a great melodrama film, don't choose this. But if you want some funny and cute film, try this.

Nice Calm Romance
mihran_26 February 2022
This movie was unexpectedly pretty good with a very pleasant romance story about a guy who always does one night stands with various girls and about a beautiful girl who is in a unsatisfying relationship with her boyfriend for 10 years. The movie also consists of multiple laughable scenes. The story was very warm-hearted which made me like it. The plot was how the guy tries to pursue the girl to do a one night stand with him. I recommend it if you are looking for a pleasant romantic movie.

Went downhills throughout the movie. Wasted potential.
seasonedchicken20 August 2023
This movie seemed pretty fun in the trailer and I could't wait to watch it. In the beginning it was funny and seemed promising, but it went downhills throughout the movie. It became plain and it wasn't really what I expected it to be. It wasn't bad, but not worth more than 6 stars. I feel like it was such a waste especially for the actors because the story just needed something to spice it up. The actors on the other hand were amazing, they deffo had chemistry and their acting was great but I would have loved to see them in a different drama or movie with a better storyline.

I'm not saying I don't recommend it because some might like it, but don't expect too much of this. This was more a time killer for me.

Can be better
nofitatjam26 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The movie starts well in the beginning. Then starting losing it's grip till the end, becoming cliche romance movie. Too bad since it had potential to be great esp with 2 good actors. They should have dig more the characters instead of making a silly misunderstanding that didnt even make sense

A surpisingly candid movie
phd_travel2 February 2021
Unlike the usual chaste K drama series this movie has people talking about sex and having one night stands. Movies always can be more realistic than dramas. The story is alright - and things come together quite well. A playboy propositions a woman he meets on the train to Busan. It's quite fun to see how they do fall for each other properly. Moon Chae Won is a good actress I like to watch and Yoo is suited to the playboy.

It's okay - not the greatest but at least it's a grown up story.

Fun to watch
heniekb10 December 2018
I'm not a big fan of romantic comedies but this light weighted Korean comedy is quite entertaining. There is a good chemistry between the two main characters and it is real fun to watch them. I thought especially Yeon-Seok Yoo perfectly fit his character. I remembered him from playing a king in 'The Royal Tailor' and a perfect villain in 'Perfect Proposal' so I was impressed with a change. Actually a romantic comedy suits him really well. He's got the look for it.

Romantic & funny !! But don't compare with reality !
anujanugrahtigga30 January 2020
It was my first Korean movie or content that I watched and now I love Korean movies & serial also. In this movie don't have a great story, but the screenplay & soundtracks are very good, many scenes are funny & romantic, doesn't feel boring. Actors are also very good, especially Moon Chae-Won's acting is great, her facial expression seems natural and funny in this movie. Didn't compare with reality and just loved this movie.

Shallow & Sleazy
ThousandsOfFilms4 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Shallow & Sleazy The actors were good, but the story line is based on a cliché script used by modern Hollywood. The Hollywood version has a young woman just about to be married to a normal guy after a normal courtship of a couple of years or to her childhood sweetheart. Then she meets a stranger who's a wild and crazy guy (e.g., he shoplifts, engages in petty theft, trespasses, engages in behavior dangerous to himself, her and anyone nearby, e.g., long lingering kisses while he's driving at 85mph) and they fall madly in love in a day or two and she breaks off her engagement, but the story does not continue for more than a day or so. The story is marinated in shallowness. This Korean version is even shallower and adds sleaze to the recipe. Admittedly, the young woman here is in a 10 year relationship that both she and her boyfriend feel is going nowhere, so one does feel it quite right for her to leave the relationship. However, the "hero" in this "romantic", "love" story is a playboy who lives a series of one-night-stand type conquests with innumerable women. He starts his "relationship" with the movies heroine by quickly asking her if she will sleep with him that night which she (correctly) characterizes as sexual harassment. They are "forced" to stay together by a wild contrivance and the next day she characterizes him as very sleazy. The male character embodies all that women used to hate about men and still do - Hollywood movies notwithstanding. However, since he behaves himself at a funeral and is nice to a child for 15 seconds, she decides he's a "nice person" and sleeps with him and they both "fall in love". The movie is the personification of shallowness and sleaze. Any woman who finds this romantic is either very shallow or a poor judge of character and is likely to lead an unhappy life.

Wonderful lighthearted romance
Musicianmagic17 April 2020
Nothing too heavy here. The premise you've seen before. But wonderfully told and acted. Chae-won Moon in the female lead was especially good not just with lines but physically how she acted. Something not often seen in Hollywood. Some sections of the movie are very funny. Some are touching. A few serious. It never got too slow or deep. The only thing that keeps it from getting that 10th star from me is one character that was there for laughs on his own but I did not find funny at all. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed Mood of the Day.

uneven mood of the day
fluffset5 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This story is OK, some plain romance comedy from Korea. About a girl named Soojung that have a 10 years loyal relationship with her boyfriend but one day she met a strange guy on a train and she was asked by that guy to have one night stand with him. And... you can really guess what happen next. Its a slow build up, its just use some old pickup trick element, when you keep teasing the girl for like a day without give up, they sometime lose their guard too. For a woman who have a relationship with his boyfriend for 10 years, how can she easily fall for a "coolest" guy on the train is a bit weird. We can call this movie as a little formulaic, its good at the first 1 hour but everything become cliché at the end and we really know what will happen to both character lastly. They quite fail to maintain the momentum at the end and its just become some everyday k-drama that we watch everyday on TV. You can still enjoy it but its just OK I guess.

One Night Stand Turned Something More
leahcubed19 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
10/10 is my rating. This is a 2016 South Korean romance movie with a run time of 103 minutes.

First I provide a Unique Synopsis then Review

Synopsis

Bae Soo jung (Moon Chae won) and Kim Jae hyun (Yoo Yeon seok) meet each other on a train to Busan. He is a former star basketball player turned talent agent who is trying to recruit a rising talent, Kang Chul to go to the United States and play professionally. Soojung is on a business trip for her advertising agency. Out of the blue, Jaehyun proposes a one night stand. Soojung is in a 10 year relationship but the feelings have run dry and it is not headed to marriage. At first outraged but, as they spend time together on the train, then in pursuit of Kang Chul in Busan (Soojung hopes to have him agree to an advertising deal) decides there isn't something about him drawing her in. After a night that leaves them both shaken can they really go their separate ways?

Review

I am not typically interested in movies as, with dramas, characters can be fully developed and the plot line can be much more complex. With this one though it works since it is centered around a one night stand. I thought they had great chemistry. It is a nice, short, compelling romance.

Surprisingly one the beautiful romantic comedy movie...
TheRajatShahare8 October 2021
When I started watching this movie I thought that it's a kind of Romantic movie which we always watching from over the year but this one really touch my heart. The main key aspect of this movie is, it's only revolving around two persons but still holds the interest of the viewers. I literally like the acting of main characters of this movie. Moon Chae-won and Yoo Yeon-seok are amazing in this movie and after watching this movie I became there fan no doubt. Specially, Moon Chae-won is superb. She can be anyone's crush for sure. Finally, I wanna say that it's must watch movie just ignore all bad comments & go for it.
