Brothers cross paths
bkoganbing2 September 2016
The paths of Reagan brothers Donnie Wahlberg and Will Estes cross on the same case. Wahlberg is looking for a robber of some high end bling and Estes is the initial officer on the scene and takes a statement and a personal interest in one of the people reporting. Of course the result isn't to the liking of one Reagan.

Wahlberg has some side issues as another detective Jonathan Schaech starts to rekindle an old relationship with Marisa Ramirez.

Tom Selleck as Commissioner has a personnel problem to deal with in the routine promotion of officer Warren Kole. Back before Selleck was Commissioner Kole was one of several officers brought to trial for the shooting death of a kid in an Eleanor Bumpers type situation. He was acquitted at trial and has an unblemished record since. Still the public does not forget.

I'm not sure the results were the right thing, but it sure was the most expedient. It's quite a knotty problem Selleck has to resolve. The best scene in the show is when Will Estes puts forth his own opinion with his father because he feels he has to.

I'd watch this episode for that alone.
