Catfight

The title for this episode should have been "Catfight", hahaha!! It's all about two woman, fighting over a man. The man is shot to death, and each woman claims the other one did it. So funny.

But the side story is what makes this episode. Tony's dad reaches out to a homeless woman with a very touching and heartbreaking result. That side story is the best part of this episode.

Episode has big heart

Another episode that deals with an LGBT issue, and it comes off very sincere and warm hearted. It is the side issue to the main plot, but it is the best reason to watch this episode.

Wagner does an excellent acting job...

RJ deserves an Oscar

Robert Wagner (RJ) was without question THE BEST pick for Tony's father. Weatherly and Wagner are believable as father and son. They just play that well off each other. Weatherly could easily be RJ's son in real life, that's how close they favor each other.

In the shows that RJ has been in, this one is definitely his defining MOMENT as an actor. I have watched RJ in TV shows and a few movies and this one lone episode is by far the best performance of his career. I was blown away.

Overall the show was alright (die hard Ziva fan here) and was watchable, but it was those last 5 minutes that made the entire show. RJ stole it. I hope at the next awards show he is honored for those few moments because he so deserves it.

My hats off to you RJ.

Susan's story should have been a stand alone episode

While Gibbs and team investigates the possible murder of a Navy petty officer by his wife and mistress it is secondary story line about a homeless young woman named Susan Lowe that is the heart of this story.

After having lunch and leaving the restaurant Tony Sr. Is approached by a young homeless woman who mistakes him for his father. Sr. Tells her she is mistaken and they both walk away. Later Sr. Tells Gibbs about this and that he has been bored lately so Gibbs tells to find out about this homeless person help her. Sr. Takes on the challenge.

With some reluctant help by Jr. Sr. Sets out to find out who Susan is any why she has become homeless. Sr. Takes her to a shelter and having taken her fingerprints and with help from Abby Sr. Finds out her full name is Susan Lowe and that she was an Army veteran who was honorably discharged and therefore intitled to veteran benefits, but when Sr. Goes backs to the shelter finds that Susan has left.

Sr. And Jr. Go in search of Susan and find a building superintendent we're she used to live and find that she had left home because her father could not accept that she was gay. This brings out memories that at times Sr. And Jr. Didn't always agree.

While walking down the street they find Susan lying on a bench and discover she is ill and get her to a hospital were Sr. Find out Susan is dying and has a month or so to live. Going to her room Sr. Tries to explain to Susan as if he was her father why they became estranged and in a way vows to make her last days as happy as possible.

There is also an underlying story that many veterans do not where to turn when they need help or denied that help.

Melora Walters gives an excellent performance as Susan and Robert Wagner gives his finest performance to date as Tony Sr. And shows a softer side to gruff exterior. All in all one the best secondary stories in the series. Would have been much better as a stand alone episode. I give 10 stars to only this part of the episode.
