Welcome back to Stars Hollow

Warning: Spoilers
This episode of the revival had the biggest amount of work to do in terms of setting up the 'Gilmore world' once again, deal with the sad passing of a cast member on screen and off, while also still telling a story that would last the overly long time slot.

It manages some of these with aplomb, but there is a lot of filler, and some not overly pleasant new takes on beloved characters.

Perhaps they should have left the show alone.

Overall writing

First, I loved the series. Watched every episode with my wife and my son. We all loved it and waited with anticipation for the four new episodes to air.

The first episode was terrible. Sure, it was great to see our friends, nearly the entire cast. How great! But while they had the cast, did the producers get some high school kids to write this stuff? The overall writing was drool at best. The dialogue did not have wit at all. The writing was simply incredibly bad.

Episode 2 was so bad that I was indifferent to the characters. I frankly don't care what happens to them in the same way I used to look forward to the story of their lives and their relationships. It was very unrealistic, ridiculous greetings, no affection shown one member to the next and no chemistry between the characters.

They should have left it alone. I am not even up for the next two episodes-forget it. It was a total bust.

Nothing happens.

Warning: Spoilers
Looked super staged.

I liked the part were they remember Richard.

Looks like Rory is struggling a lot. Was she all these years or just this time? We will see her falling down deeper in next episodes.

Didn't comprehend the open relationship with Logan, is there a point?

When this episode finished I end up confused because I was waiting for something to happen and nothing did.

No. Just No

Let me start by saying that I am totally late to the Gilmore Girls train. I didn't watch the entire series until 2022-2023. I get it that people age, but, why has no one mentioned how different Lorelai and Rory look?! They're looks are so distracting, it's buggin me and I'm not sure exactly why. Also, (since the review has to be longer), I totally hated Luke's family!! His sister was such an annoying loser-only to be defeated by her pathetic husband. Every time they had screen time, I wanted to punch them both in the face!! Even they're baby with that stupid name! I wanted them all to drive off a Cliff!!
