So bad it's almost funny

Storyline....none. This movie is so bad it really is quite funny. Feels like it was written and directed by a child. Anyone who says this is a similar to Rocky is full of it. Don't even think about comparing this absolute comedy to Rocky. Dumb and Dumber comparisons maybe......but not Rocky.

Rocky meets Boyz'n The Hood in a classic Hero's journey.

This is a wonderful movie. It is a multi-layered film about the mean streets of Harlem, the redemptive world of boxing as well as a tender love story. Blue, the main character is a classic hero, a great man entangled by a fate he has no control over. Yet, like all classic heroes, he rises above the outrages of fortune and through pure will, redeems his soul. Carmen, the heroine, is played by Daya Vaidya. She is struggling with both an abusive boyfriend and a drug addiction. When Blue, her neighbor in a Harlem tenement, fights off the crazy boyfriend, she is awakened to the grim circumstance of her life and ultimately finds a job in a preschool. Don Wallace, the writer, producer and star, is a real life boxer and the fight scenes are truly authentic and filled with nail-biting tension. Ultimately, this film is a delight to watch. It manages to create a gritty, noir texture without losing its beauty and power. I highly recommend Blue.
