This series has great actors and writing, enough to put up with for just being shot in a bar. This episode, as good as Laurie Metcalf's performance is, is a bore fest. To hear someone drone on about pretty much nothing - for the whole show - while an excellent cast isn't even involved is awful. I paid to see the comedy Horace and Pete with Alan Alda, Steve B., etc., not a one or two man dialog that isn't fun or funny. I turned it off halfway through but will purchase one more episode to see where this is going. Any more of this crap and I'll move on. I don't understand the prior excellent write-ups unless some viewers don't expect what a comedian, who wrote and directed this, should be putting out on a consistent basis - comedy. If you think about the worst episodes in sitcom history they were always the serious ones - but after it has been on for years. This show is only three in and already going to that.
