Not the best episode but...
elvira_mh-5570915 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It wasn't a very good episode, but the reason I'm giving it a 7 is this: it feels like this was the first episode where we can see both Sam and Dean having a real blast and enjoying themselves, without one or both being guilty/angry/anxious about something.

The story was entertaining enough and the way the wrestler handled his punishment at the end was badass.

The Crowley/Castifer (lol sorry) storyline felt a bit rushed, I'm sure it could've been handled better...

The ending is unearned

This episode is meant to be a supernatural riff on the aged fighter who gets redeemed. This trope probably was first seen in Requiem for Heavy Weight from the 40's but it pops up again, and again. The Wrestler also comes to mind. The bones of such are story are here but the script doesn't do enough to make Lawless redeemable. So the story feels incomplete.

not bad..

Although I'm expecting a lot more from this season, but so far I haven't seen an episode which is worth giving a 10 stars. I wish that they will stop ruining Castiel's image by making him The vessel of Lucifer, really Castiel doesn't fit to be the bad guy. Misha is a good actor but since he started as Castiel with that peculiar character , adorable and sometimes funny , being Lucifer's vessel is one of the worst idea in this season , and you can see how Mishia is struggling to mimic the character of Lucifer...it's not so bad though...I think he's a whole lot better being Castiel.Well at least in my opinion.

On the other hand, it's about time that Crowley got out of his cage after being Lucifer's dog.For the first time I felt bad for him, but I always loge his character no matter how bad he is.

The story overall is simple, because once again we're back to demons making business.I thought demon days are over since the Darkness came in.

They should be thinking of bringing back Bobby Since he's one of the character with strong personality in Supernatural.

Dean cuteness and snooze

Dean is adorable in a few scenes, rest of it is just blah, motw is blah, and demons are just not scary anymore. Lucifer and Crowley bit was just ok.

It was....fine

Warning: Spoilers
Jumping right to the point, this was an entertaining episode, wrestling fan Dean was great, good semi-filler episode all around but I had one massive issue with it

This next part contains spoilers

Crowley outwitted Lucifer and got his hands on the hand of god, fine so far but then God's top lieutenant, possibly the most powerful being on earth after Amara, a top freaking Archangel who has helped to imprison Dakness just stood there like a potato holding hands with a Demon girl waiting to be attacked by a God powered up Crowley and wait for it....WAS SAVED BY A DEMON!

That's just bad, careless, lazy writing, it made Lucifer look Castiel level weak which is the weakest anyone can ever be....

This one scene cost this Ep two points, I would have voted 7 had it was done better
