This episode is like a emotional roller- coaster. And it definitely shocks you to your core, especially if you don't know anything about the books. For the past few weeks the episodes were not up to the par it set in the beginning. Also there were lot of unanswered questions, but this episode answers most of them and raises a lot of new ones. I loved this episode. It started out like a sitcom and finished like a horror show. Actor's performances were average. Also the show seems in sync with books. It was a good season finale. But it's gonna give nightmares to some people. The beginning of the show is really good and quite funny actually, but as the story starts to unfold it gets scarier and the end was like watching "Game of Thrones".

Wow what a episode, first off the whole hedge witches Julia and the trickster god scene was haunting brutal and violent very dark stuff, in fillory the gang prepared to find and slay the beast all leading to the end of a good first season with some minor flaws but overall a great introduction
Love the show, but it's not a lighthearted romp

Watching it again for probably the 10th time, but since the first few times I watched it there's been time. I'd forgotten just how dark it can be, how very REAL. This is not your sweet granny's bedtime story Narnia; this is real, adult, human story-telling. It's dark, people are vile and unpleasant and do terrible things, and they have to deal with it. Magic in the hands of such people is exactly what it would be if it was real; it's what The Boys is to superhero tales. There's sex and violence and gross matter and making stupid, weak errors and being terrible to each other.
And that's part of why I love it. Because it's not just about happily ever afters. It's about how to deal with the unhappily nows and trying to move on and deal. If you want a happily ever after or a story where the good guys are always good, there are plenty out there. If you want to walk through the darkness and see how complicated it is but still hope your flawed, tortured characters get through everything, this is for you.

Nothing interesting in the span of 13 episodes. The screenplay, storylines, plots and sub-plots are completely jumbled, mishmash and mashed potatoes. The acting nothing impressive, anybody can act with the amount of depth given to those characters, besides Alice, Margo and to some extents William, Julia and Kady nobody's interesting and relatable. The only good, magical thing is the amount of CGI and VFX thrown into the show.
For now, after 1 season, nothing impresses and the flow is as electrifying as a 0.5x 12V cell.

Needs trigger warning

Please be aware this episode involves S/A. Very disturbing and uncomfortable so please keep that in mind toward the end of the episode.
Towards the end some memories are returned that were erased and at first you might think it's just one thing but when we see the flash back it involves S/A. Please fast forward if you think something like this could trigger you. I don't think this scene was necessary for the plot and this detail didn't even make sense with the rest of the scene. I get it's trying to show the dark side of things but shows/movies are way too okay with depicting this sort of thing.
