What awful acting.

I was looking for someone else's reviews to see if the acting was as terrible to anyone else? At least the father of the female lead was so bad I nearly stopped the movie at the beginning. I should have. Where as none of the rest of the acting was equally as awful, it was uneventful. I haven't written a review in a long time but I thought this movie was so bad that I should warn people in advance.

Awful Awful Awful!

Warning: Spoilers
If I could rate it negative stars I would! The premise is dumb, the male lead is so gullible and dumber than a box of rocks, you'll be yelling at your TV screen for him to get a clue, the fiancee is trifling and brought all the drama onto herself and her girlfriend was so rude and ignorant you'll be hoping they get hit by a bus Final Destination style at the end! Don't waste your time on this trash!

This movie is anything but typical...

Warning: Spoilers
If you are a viewer who is open minded enough to overlook the simplicity of the production quality, than this is a pretty good movie. The storyline was good, and the message is the reality of the pressure that some religious parents put on their gay children to "be what they should be, God-fearing heterosexuals, who marry and have children, the perfect family." Pertaining to the prior review, what it matters to be a "typical all Black cast", really is irrelevant. The point is the story, which is a reality for many Christian families unwilling to accept homosexuality. I felt like the story flowed along, although the comedy fell a little flat for me. Despite that, I honestly wondered at the end of the movie, if the story was inspired by a real life happening. Would I pay to see it in a theater? No. Would I watch it on a rainy afternoon with nothing else to do? Sure, why not. Do I have a problem with a movie containing an all Black cast, given that I am white? Absolutely not. This movie is anything but typical. ..if you are open minded, it is not a bad movie to watch. In fact, it inspires conversation about the difficulties that some gay people have with coming out to their families.
