What a disappointment this was! The show lacked a direction, and it couldn't decide between a procedural type of plot or a mystery-vampire plot, and in trying to do both it kind of ended up being neither. For most of the episodes we got a client-request to our detective agency, and the episode would focus on solving that request with a scene regarding the vampire plot at the very end.
The vampire aspect was never properly explained either - where did the vampires come from? What were their strengths/weaknesses? What were their motivations? Why could San walk in the sunlight when other vampires would die instantly? Also there was never a moment where San realized he was a vampire, nor his friends. It seemed like some of them knew he was while others didn't, but it was very unclear. In fact, up until the very last episodes it seemed like San himself wasn't even aware he was a vampire. It was really confusing and felt like a waste of time. It also seemed like they left this very open ended, so I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a second season or not. I would skip this one!
