I was lucky enough to catch this documentary at a limited screening in London fall of 2018. As a general comment, the background to the making of this documentary is as compelling as the subject matter itself and is skillfully represented in the final production.
Highly recommended for an exploration into a chapter of the anthology of the war in Ukraine. Congratulations to the filmmakers for their ability to present such a nuanced and humanistic viewpoint to an on-going conflict, which forces us to question our responsibility to intervene as nations which allegedly champion freedom from tyranny.
Brief synopsis from BFI: "Two independent filmmakers document the human cost of the conflict in Ukraine investigating the subtleties of propaganda and manipulation by government powers to influence public opinion."
