Upon Diana Nyad's final attempt, news footage is played in which a reporter says "At 28 years old, she set out to become the first person to swim 103 miles from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage." Yet, the film recounts that her initial attempt at the age of 28 was with a shark cage.
Toward the end of the film when Nyad is in the water walking toward the beach, there are two females situated on the left side of Bonnie that are holding hands tightly. However in the following cut the females' hands are far apart and not touching.
There is a scene where Diana and Bonnie discuss Jack Nelson (Diana's childhood coach) having passed away. Diana's swims were all 2013 and earlier; however, Jack Nelson died on November 5, 2014.
Diana Nyad's 60th birthday takes place on August 23, 2010, even though she was born August 22, 1949.
