Cinematography by Aleksandr Itygilov was his film debut.
Later, Yuriy Lysenko became the director of the film, and for his creative idea he invited the Ukrainian ballerina of the Kiev Theater, Eleanor Steblyak to play Lesya Ukrainka.
The film consists of a mosaic of memories, moods, fragmentary episodes, which intertwine to create a pure lyrical miniature.
After Sergey Merzhinskiy's death, Lesya Ukrainka wrote the poem "Obsession", which became a reflection of the strength of the poetess' spirit.
Sergienko and Lysenko together spent half of the film's budget on preliminary preparation and rehearsals.
