- Lots of predatory animals attack the player by jumping at him and showing claw marks as a sign of being mauled
- In one level the main character's brother gets mauled to death by about 5 or 6 wolves all at once.
- In the first level Samson gets pounced on by a mountain lion while Cole shoots the animal only to wound it and scare it away
- In level 3 Cole is ambushed by a grizzly bear there is a part where the bear leaps on him if the player does not shoot the bear in the vitals in time the bear will wrap its paw around Cole and kill him by biting his face
