"One Mississippi" is a half hour television movie from roughly two weeks ago. It is a mix of comedy and drama, more drama in my opinion, and was directed by the fairly famous Nicole Holofcener. The script comes from Oscar winner Diablo Cody and Tig Notaro, who also plays the main character, herself, in this little movie. It is a pilot episode and we will see if this one gets picked up. I believe there were a couple good moments in here, especially in terms of emotion, but all in all I am not yet completely sure if I would keep watching in case this gets picked up for a whole season or maybe even more. I will not make a final judgment yet, but my overall perception here is positive I guess. Solid writing and good acting from everybody involved. Thumbs up.
