Simply Amazing
madezzo20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
9/10 due to some cheesy editing.

Plot: Everything played out well, and Lexa got a more satisfying goodbye.

People are literally complaining about the show moving forward and saying "there was no need to introduce a new problem". Every season finale has introduced the problem for the next season. People are just complaining to complain.

It really makes me sad that there are people who are actually saying this was a bad episode. It isn't even the critics. This episode got a 9.5 from IGN, and a 9 from themovienetwork. If you're going to watch this show based off ratings/reviews, please don't listen to the reviews on here besides the ones with good ratings. This is a solid show with an awesome plot.

Good, but not as good as the other season finales
fannydietschi20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
What shall I say? All in all I think that especially the first half of season three was fantastic. Unfortunately, after the series return this March, the second half of season 3 turned out to be less good. I believe other fans will agree if I say, that this season (and especially the second half) was the weakest so far. But focusing on the final episode, I have to say, the actors did an amazing job (like always on this show)! What I was missing in the finale, was some kind of "teaming up" in order to save the others. Yes, there were some characters teaming up, but all in different groups on different places. But compared to the other seasons, there was no battle they had to get through at ONE particular place (like the Dropship in season one or Mount Weather in season two). I have the feeling that this is one of the reasons, why the people watching the episode never fully got into it, because there was just that one thing missing, that could have made it a great episode. What I also want to mention is, that some story lines of the characters were very confusing. Lincoln barely showed up this season, even though he would have been one of the main characters, before he was killed. Also Pike's story line turned out to be a bit confusing... But all in all, I am looking forward to season 4, since the season finale has set a great start to the new season!!

A fun and action-packed even if uneven finale
tenshi_ippikiookami20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The third season's finale is a good episode, that keeps the tension going, but also has some shortcomings that make it come out as an uneven one.

Clarke and the others are in a dire situation. Dire situations, crazy measures, so Clarke decides to connect herself to Ontari and get a blood transfusion that will allow her body to take the "flame". While this is happening, Alie's army is trying to get into the throne room, and Raven and Monty are trying to find a way to help Clarke in her mission to destroy Alie.

The episode is closer to fantasy than science-fiction in some aspects. From Clarke's visit to the City of Light (Matrix-style), with the much-missed by many fans Lexa, to some of the concepts developed, like the final showdown between Alie, Clarke and Becca, the episode asks the viewer to suspend disbelief (another lever?). The City of Light and the Alie A.I. was a cool enough concept, but the payoff was just OK. And the show still has the problem of stretching moments just for the sake of it (another countdown that was way longer than 20 seconds).

On the other hand, this is a strong episode too. It has the dark and grit of the whole season, it has action, it has some awesome and hard to digest moments, like Octavia's moment of revenge or Murphy's work as a paramedic. And the most important, the acting. This group of actors has been through 3 seasons of pain and deaths and it shows. Cusick's acting as Kane shines, his face when he recovers his consciousness and sees what he has done, an amazing acting moment. But he is just an example. From Avgeropoulos's Octavia hate to Bostick's Jasper pain and grief, every actor has a moment to shine, and there are also very good moments between them (Lexa and Clarke, Octavia and Pine or Bellamy...). The acting thorough the episode is amazing and brings the episode to another level.

That the end of season just offers the 100 and all others a new threat, one that may be too big to overcome, makes for an interesting plot development. It is not so mysterious as the idea of the City of Light or the Mount Weather was, but it may offer a glimpse into a more down to Earth, survival style, fourth season for "The 100".

A good ending to the season.

Really?
Harun_Karali20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Glad the AI story line is wrapped up, But I have some major problems with how they ended the episode. Was it really necessary for the impending apocalypse story line? I feel like there is enough problems to deal with in season four, Like who will be the next commander? They could probably finish the series just by introducing the other clans, there are twelve others, I can't speak for everyone, But the main reason I watch this show is for the characters. Just imagine expanding the horizon of this show, giving it some depth.

I have enjoyed this show for a long time(especially the beginning of this season) But after the tenth episode, I have felt a steady decline in storytelling. Where is the writers that introduced us with Lexa and showed us the origins of the Grounders...

Don't let the One Star Reviewers keep you from watching
jncarriere20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
If you click on the user name of the one star reviewers you will notice that some of them only began giving them after 3x07.. Most of them didn't even have an account her until then and only for the sole purpose of leaving one star reviews and basically trying to get the show cancelled. I encourage you to watch The 100 and decide for yourself.

Why are so many comments down on this show? This has been the best season of one of the best shows on TV. 16 total episodes and at least 8 felt like they could have been season finales they were so intense and action packed. Too many "critically acclaimed" shows spin their wheels through most of their season, and don't pay off until the end (I'm looking at you TWD and GoT), while The 100 had some huge moments all season long. The only weakness of the show this season was that its non-stop plot didn't slow down for proper character development: Bellamy's actions this season often felt way out of character, and Monty being forced to kill his own mother to save his friends would have mattered more if we knew their relationship better.

This finale was intensely amazing PLUS Lexa!
cheryl_justinbieber20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
season finale of the 100 went out with well a cliffhanger. they started off back when Clarke finally got her mom back. They had to find a way to stop ALIE and Clarke did what they did on mount weather. okay to me i had the idea that Clarke was going into the city of light but for some reason it just never occurred to me that how she was going to achieve that was getting ontari's blood mixed with hers. We see Clarke finally see Lexa again and they have their short but passionate kiss. You could see that they were so happy to see each other again and it kills me that when Clarke said "i love you" Jrat decided to not make Lexa say it back but instead make her say "I'll always be with you". although that could give Clarke some encouragement in the upcoming season. Pike oh man Pike. He thought he was off the hook for killing Lincoln just because he saved her. well Octavia proved him wrong by stabbing him looking straight into his eyes. Leaving the episode there where Octavia walks away after stabbing him.

I got to admit this season finale was really good but saddening as well because of Lea. i love how Lexa and Clarke got to have the one moment of happiness and being reunited. And truly just what Eliza said in some of her interviews i think it'll take Clarke a while to finally move on from Lexa as you can see she truly does care and love her!

Beautiful Finale
tabzz20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
On March 3rd, Lexa died in a shocking and horrific way that appalled the fanbase and rattled the media.

On May 19th, Lexa returned in the City of Light, saving Clarke, before valiantly running into a mass of AI's.

This is how Lexa should go out. This is how a warrior goes out. She stole the show, completely and wholeheartedly stole the show.

The soundtrack was magnificent for her parts particularly. The dialogue (though edited) was rather beautiful too.

Alycia put her heart and soul into this final performance and therefore it is only acceptable that I give this finale episode a ten out of ten. Granted it ended abruptly, which should knock it down slightly, but I cannot, simply for that beautiful and captivating performance.

Thank you for the adventure, Lexa. May we meet again.

Wonderful Finale
gpoliti1220 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This fandom is missing is an objective way of thinking. This years finale was emotional, climactic agonizing and heartwarming. For starters what a wonderful direction. I haven't seen such a wonderful direction in The 100 ever since the first episode. The shots where wonderfully taken and created a sense of tension and was epic. The scenes where very well put together and you didn't even have time to catch your breath. Even though everyone suspected it was coming Lexas comeback was stunning. I'm not a Clexa fan but when she entered the scene I found my heart racing like crazy and I almost cried. The performances by most of the cast where incredible and towards the end when everyone got out of the City of Light the expressions on the casts faces seemed to be genuine, like they believed they were part of it. No matter the unreasonable and non-objective down voting (because lets face it, its not an amazing series but its definitely not worth a 1 or 2) I find this show's finale satisfying and a great goodbye for season 3.

+ Clexa had a proper goodbye

+ City of Light is gone

+ Jasper and Monty

+ Abby's performance

  • Pike's death scene deserved a bit more

  • A year until the next season

S1 & S2 greater than S3
razwanabassi20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Love the 100, so giving this 10* because I am hoping they will recover.

Season 1 = Fire

Season 2 = On the edge of your seat because of how Fire every episode was.

Season 3 = started out slow, was on the road to being super hot fire, but then just started dying down. Halfway through the season we learned about the secrets of the religion of the grounders, how it was designed by Alie, we were starting to understand the truth to the COL which we first heard about in season 1. Everything in the 100 universe was starting to connect.... Then this story line was never explored, characters just started dying left and right instead. The entire season builds up to the city of light and the encounter between the evil AI Alie, and the real Alie. it feels pretty weak that we only got to see the city of light for a quarter of an episode, and the encounter between the AI and her creator had little depth. The AI has had a very mysterious character and when we finally catch her in the her most vulnerable state, nothing much is revealed to us. Bringing Lexa back felt pretty unnecessary to. If Lexa was there, shouldn't the previous commanders also be there. Going into the logic of the 100 is a whole other conversation; they could have explored a lot more meaningful plot lines if they had organized this season better.

Season 1 and 2 felt really calculated, it had a fast pace with serious shock moments every few episodes. Finn Dies, Bomb Drops, Lexa leaves before entering mount weather. Every single episode would leave you craving more, season 3 really didn't do this for me. The pace of the final episode felt 1000 percent faster than every other episode in the season, and it lacked quality and depth because of it.

Season 3 did have great production value, great sets, costumes, set designs. Amazing acting especially from Murphy and Raven. pretty much everything was perfectly on point, except the writing and progress of the plot, that sh** was weak A.F.

The 100 is one of the only TV shows i watch and i will still say your show is super hot fire, but seriously y'all writers gotta step your game up for season 4.

people are dumb
davidfink-0806520 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
As i have said on reviews on another episode, the only reason these episodes have bad ratings is because fangirls still haven't gotten over the death of an LGBT character, even though this is a show where anyone can die at any time. Actually get over yourselves. this season is not as good as the first two yeah, but giving quality television a bad rating because you're somehow offended by the death of a character on a show that is made to show the toughness of survival? give me a break. please don't let these reviews keep you from watching this show, these people are classless. what i will admit about this show is that it felt like i never truly understood ALIE's plan, and it ended in a way that was the same basically as season 2 except more abrupt and no one died. That being said this episode deserves more of an 8 rating but I'm just trying to boost the overall rating of this episode with the ten.

the ending ends in a way that makes you want more. personally cannot wait for season 4 for the squad to figure out what to do about the new nuclear catastrophe.

Meh
Anonnamus23 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show has some fantastic moments, ones where you're gripping the edge of your seat with anticipation for what is coming next. The 100 has more than its fair share of those moments, no need to overdo it and manufacture it for the sake of drama.

Positives:

  • We finally see the end of this crazy cult situation and our beloved characters finally revert back to sane human beings.
  • It was great to see the badass that is Lexa make a reappearance in this episode. I really liked her character and thought she had potential to be a great leader. Jason Rothenberg disagreed.
  • Pike finally got what was coming to him. The tiny bit of background we were given wasn't enough to redeem him in anyone's eyes.

Negatives:

  • Again, a character goes off the deep end and acts in a way that is completely illogical and in no way fits who she has shown herself to be throughout the series. Octavia has never let emotion control her. My problem wasn't with her killing him (it was bound to happen and I'm glad it was by her hand), it was the fact that she jeopardized the lives of everyone by taking her revenge instead of neutralizing a very real threat. Slicing his leg and watching him get beat, thereby allowing more chippers to get in and potentially destroy their plan was not an Octavia thing to do. Indra taught her better.
  • For once can the bad guys run? Every time a character is chased, the bad guys start out within two feet. Cut to the next scene, the hero or heroine is suddenly alone except for their beloved and they have all the time to reunite and kiss and contemplate life. That alley Lexa and Clarke were trapped in started out a normal-sized alley but then expanded by like ten miles, judging by the amount of time it took the chippers to reach Lexa.
  • I understand dramatic effect, but having Clarke wait until the very last second before pulling the kill switch ( and it was LITERALLY a switch; my eyes ended up somewhere in the back of my head) was ridiculous. She had no reason to believe Alie and she never would have agreed to stay in the City of Light. It took her much longer to pull a switch which would kill off the "bad guy" than it did to pull a switch that killed hundreds of innocent people at Mount Weather. GTFO with that.

Overall, this season wasn't terrible, certainly not deserving of the low ratings it suddenly started getting. Not my favorite, but also not terrible. I can't wait to see what next season will bring. Will the threat of another nuclear disaster send them back into space? I feel like that's going to eventually happen. Raven will be the one to figure it out, of course, because the girl can do everything. Love The 100!

The story looks messed up but ok.
ououzaza24 March 2020
The story here is really messed up. But I like it. The character's development is weird. The conclusion is pretty neat, though the director should give the characters more time to relief and more time for the ending. In fact, the ending is pretty sucks. They could do it better.

Go watch Person of Interest for a good show about Artificial Intelligence
dastardlykid19 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I just finished binge-watching Person of Interest a few days ago and to see how well they fleshed out their world of technology and artificial super-intelligence (ASI) blew me away. It also forced me to open my eyes and see what a cheap knock-off this season of The 100 is of other such shows.

Nothing in the world of The 100 is fully explained. There's no time to delve deeper and sink your teeth into the material. The show jumps from place to place and is such a disappointment.

Person of Interest also has f/f representation that is handled so much better and is so much more poignant and that relationship is given the time it deserves to be explored. There's also no white- washing or blatant racism in that show unlike The 100 that is full of such issues.

But this finale went nowhere. Clarke, in pulling another lever, has a temporary victory against ALIE, but the world is still going to end.

This finale lacked the grand epic feeling of accomplishment. There was no substance and no intelligence to the material. I was not moved. My emotions were hardly engaged. I think the only thing to make me smile was seeing Lexa jump out of nowhere and get Clarke to safety and then the kill-switch.

The editing in the finale, however, was such a disappointment. Someone really dropped the ball behind the scenes because it was sloppy and rushed and lacked any poignancy.

The writing by Jason Rothenberg was worse than some of the pieces I've read in my past Intro to Creative Writing classes.

The science was all wrong. Ontari's chest/heart scene was sickening and not needed at all.

The only decent parts were Abby and Clarke in the beginning and then Octavia killing Pike and walking off, but even that was a really weird place to just...end in...

This show is not worth watching past the first two seasons.

The 100
danajohn558 March 2017
I've watched from the beginning and this show has been amazing. I hope the show can continue because we are lacking good sci Fy shows at this time. This type of story leaves a lot of room for the writers, I just hope they continue to develop the story line to keep it going for seasons to come.

In all of the seasons this episode was the best . S3 is the best one too . I think it's enough, it wasn't necessary to add more seasons. If they stopped here ,the show would be more successful. I give this episode 10 because of lexa's scene , surprise!

Octavia stabbing Pike is also so shocking but such a sweet moment of revenge
Neptune16528 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Tbh taking away Bellamy's mistakes and putting everything on pike is abit bs. Even though he was the leader then there was allot of ppl that didn't follow him. Bellamy followed him like blindly. Why is he redeemed? He killed 300ppl on their sleep. That was there to defend them. And if it wasn't for Octavia he would've wiped out the other village with children's in the night on their sleep Ashwell. I get ppl like him but he should've paid with his life equally as pike. If it was real life he would've been hanged as a traitor after the war. Bellamy was like: "sheesh I'm glad I'm her brother😀". If he wasn't, he would probably be dead too lol. I've often compared this season to the vegetables that kids have to eat before they can have dessert. The second half of the season focusing on ALIE is better, and the finale was the best episode as usual (a natural consequence of each season being a long story arc), but overall I stand by my opinion that what you just finished is the worst season of The 100. Pike's anti-grounder bigotry and Bellamy's going along as far as he did both seemed unnatural, forced, and annoying. This episode was good and all. It's nothing compared to what's to come. Season 4 is where the show truly finds it stride. Every episode keeps getting better and better. I'm so excited for y'all because it's one hell of a ride.

Lexa, may we meet again
Neptune16528 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Was 3x16 (at least the part with Lexa still in it) shot before 3x07? Or did they ask for Alycia to be back on set for a few scenes? A bit confused... I'd think it would make sense to shoot 3x16 before, and her death scene in 3x07 afterwards (as her last scenes before leaving the show). Any info on this? To me I'd kind of ruin it for actors to shoot a character's death before (which feels like closure), and then shoot other scenes after that. Pike is dead. That was for the execution of Lincoln, the mass murder of innocent grounders, and for failing his people. He was so busy trying to murder grounders that he didn't see Jaha / ALIE turning Arkadia. Here's what's so funny...Lexa did horrible things and even left the sky people in Mt. Weather to die to save her people, she gets a stray bullet and dies and everyone complains about the way she dies. Pike does horrible things to protect his people (and yes he thought he was doing good even though he wasn't), fought beside and protected the grounders in the end like a true hero (I mean come on he was sliced by Indra, shot, and stabbed and yet he still fought his tail off) just to get a blind sided stab by Octavia and everyone is happy...he didn't get a good death neither. Just show what kind of people there are in this world. Don't get me wrong cause Lexa was a great character and a beast but she was praised as if she never did anything wrong. I really think in the end Pike realized he was wrong about the grounders and I really wanted to see how that played out before he died but no not gonna happen. I think they ruined what could have been an interesting little arc for him. I really wanted to see Indra and Octavia team up on him at least, and let him go out fighting. I know Indra hated him but I believe she respected his will to fight. I'm not saying he didn't deserve what Octavia did to him, but I believe it happened a little too soon.

Boring, recycled drivel and a sad excuse for a season finale
thisemailisforcrap19 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
My first thought after finishing this season finale was 'is... is that it?' Not only was this episode incredibly rushed and oversimplified, but it was clearly trying too hard to be deep. And the kill switch? The deus ex machina with Clarke just 'knowing' how to stop the City of Light even though she had no knowledge of it before? That extremely vague and terrible explanation of how Clarke's able to change her surroundings in the CoL? Note: Jason Rothenberg, you are not Christopher Nolan, and this is not Inception. If you're going to reach for complex ideas like this you have to actually take the time and effort to flesh them out.

The gore was excessive and served no purpose, especially with the graphic depiction of cutting open Ontari's chest, spreading it with a metal contraption, and manually pumping the heart with one hand. Having Kane and his ALIE-controlled group charge into the room immediately after being electrocuted in water to the point of unconsciousness made no sense (and would ALIE, an advanced supercomputer that's many times smarter than humans, really be stupid enough to order the group into what was clearly a trap?)

Overall the episode felt like a mess of too many half-finished ideas. The first two seasons of the 100 were bearable at most, but they really dropped the ball with this season, and it definitely shows in this episode. It seemed to overshoot what it was capable of depicting, and the end result was something akin to a poorly CGI- animated Kidz Bop version of every generic sci-fi show with an AI subplot. The idea of an AI destroying humanity to save humanity was overdone in 2005. Now it's just irritating.

The open ending was clearly meant to set it up for a fourth season, but with any luck, this god-awful show won't live to see another day.

(If anyone wants to see a show that actually does the AI concept well, check out Person of Interest. In comparison the 100 seems like it was directed by a middle schooler.)

Most Underwhelming Finale I've Seen Yet
leahmythical19 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Lexa came outta nowhere and stole the show again with her reappearance. My only disappointment was that the editing was so bad in the COL and you could tell when ADR was used in the scenes. Made it anticlimactic.

The kill switch being a lever much like the one Clarke pulled in the last finale was a cheap ripoff - where was the originality?

In stopping ALIE, Clarke also uncovers a new threat to the world...it felt like it wasn't the right time for another complication and this new complication seemed like another cheap ploy to further the drama for drama's sake.

That scene of Murphy literally pumping Ontari's heart after Abby opened her chest was gross and unnecessary.

Clarke beating ALIE after all of that hassle seemed much too easy, it didn't feel earned.

Raven didn't add to much in the end, she just stood by and watched screens for most of the finale which made her character feel unused to a huge extent. Raven should have played a bigger role.

Pike's death wasn't surprising, but Octavia had every right to kill him and walk away. She's put up with him and her brother enough.

All the hugging at the end...egh, made the show feel so dumb. Everything was so...easy. The entire season was full of a billion obstacles and the finale had like 3 steps and you're done. I guess Lexa really moved things along or something because that was new for this show.

Well, this will be my last review for The 100. The only thing I can say is the first two seasons were good and worth watching. I don't know what happened in the third season.

Peace, ya'll. I'm free. :)

A lame conclusion to a crappy season
marylin-9525719 May 2016
Love that Lexa was back at least for a while, but the show has become a parody of itself. The plot is messy and the story line is simply convoluted. There is no development nor answers. It was obvious how the episode was overly edited after shooting. It didn't feel like a finale. Bellamy's attempt for redemption is too rushed and honestly absurd at this point since he was looking for a way to forgive himself when he never really accepted the consequences of his actions or admitted that they were wrong. Not surprise that Clarke and Raven were the only ones left alone, in pain and grieving. This show is not progressive as it pretends to be. It is poorly written and stereotypical. In simple words: Not worth watching.

This show is a total Chaos!
ghtowd20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Let's start with Science! In this show applied science had no place since the beginning. Just look at traveling to the earth by a missile, doing surgery with no clean room & no Anastasia, taking bullet, dagger,... and stay alive and healthy, blood transfusion without considering blood type or Rh and so on. The only & one time science applied in this show was the time Lexa got shot. That bullet which applied the science once and forever in the show, will remain in the history! - Why I start from that bullet? because that was the path to the weakest finale ever. After everyone blamed the producer/writers for what they've done to Lexa. They simply put something together to resolve the fan issues in the finale in the worst possible way. It's like OK, let's have one "I love you" -which Clarke owes to Lexa- some fight scenes for Lexa- which we owes to the fans- one small kiss- Just to make fans happy?!-and finally let's kill Lexa another time, just to be sure! and more importantly let's do all of these things in such a hurry like we are in rush & have to runaway! How so?

Look at Lexa at Finale. She is not Lexa at all, she only seems like her! Lexa was so calm, had special facial impression, slow and confident moves, even when her life was in danger. I could not see that character in finale. Maybe the cast & crew were in such a hurry that they could not focus to Lexa's character or just because she was already dead one time, her scenes don't worth enough time and multiple shots?!

  • If assume, COL was built to keep human beings from pain and torture, then how the hell Lexa killed many people over there?!

  • If I recall correctly, people in the COL don't feel the pain at all, so they never stop trying to achieve what they want, until they die. I'm referring to Monty's mother, she didn't stop hurting Octavia until Monty shot her to kill. Later you can see Jaha and Jasper could be stopped without lethal shots easily!!!

-Now let's see Clarke character. You can see Kane surrounded himself for Abbey's sake and took the chip, Jaha took the chip to ease his pain, Abbey accepted the chip for Raven and like this you can see everyone with chancellor's badge failed somehow and chose another one's sake rather than considering peoples' greater good. Clarke is the only one, who lost her greatest love in the worst possible time and circumstances yet, no tears,no grief, no pain.... she was only focused on her people's future like Robocop or something! She loved someone, slept with her, she died for her and in her arms and Clarke said "Ok, let's continue saving the world! or maybe just find another one!!

I'm not talking about CLEXA, BELARKE or whatsoever, I'm talking about human deep feelings, connections. People are not maid of Iron, when love is epic, lost will be epic too. Why is it so hard for show runners to understand human being has a limit?

  • Finally, the open issue for next season sucks! I believe this show will need a miracle to be renewed for season 5. That miracle after weak season one was Lexa. I cannot imagine what it would be in next season

******** SPOILERS***************

So the Kill Switch was an actual switch. I'm not even kidding.

The chipped people climbed the outside of the tower? Basically a bad zombie movie flashback.

Ontari was reduced to a blood bag. Oh, and then Abby had split her chest open and massage her heart because being reduced to a blood bag was just not powerful enough. Wow.

Jasper ate an ice cream cone. This isn't the most ridiculous thing about the City Of Light, but it comes pretty close.

Lexa is back, but then she sacrifices herself to an angry mob for Clarke. I would say this is the only not-crappy part of the episode, if it didn't have the "trying to fix the lesbian-killed-by-a-stray-bullet trope a little too late" all over it.

I've seen a lot or TV show rock bottoms but this one takes the cake.

Lexa wasn't a lesbian: She was gay. Warning: Spoilers
This episode answered the age old question: How can you kill a character who is already dead? Remember: A star might get someone to watch a show once. Maybe. But if the writing isn't there, most of that audience will bail for something better. Furthermore, If you trust the writers by now, I don't know what to tell you. You might want to seek counseling for your trust issues. What was the most powerful weapon of the season? Love. Love is weakness. It will get you killed. Twice.

So if you are looking for a series that isn't merely awesome, but has a truly regressive approach to LGBT relationships, try #the100!

Boom. Out.

Rushed...again

Warning: Spoilers
Much like the entire 2nd half of this season, the finale felt rushed. But I'll start with the positives...

Clarke. She doesn't wear a cape but this woman is the constant hero. Once again she did what was once thought to be impossible. She could literally strategize her way out of anything, and she does it again to save the day. She'll forever be one of my favorite characters for that. Maybe her people will actually thank her for once. Go Clarke!

Raven. The 2nd coolest moment was Raven coding the door and emblazoning it with a Raven symbol, she also saved the day. Go Raven!

The Abby and Clarke scene was beautifully acted.

Abby and Murphy literally doing whatever it takes to save Clarke and keep the nightblood flowing. Gross but cool.

Becca and Alie sort of facing off was great.

...and clearly the thing we were all waiting for, Lexa's return! The #1, absolute best moment of the episode. In true dramatic Lexa form, she swoops in all badass and saves her girl (and gives her a little sly grin to DIE for!) Their reunion was beautiful (I cried).

Now...on to the real deal. wtf happened to the story in this episode?? The major editing that was rumored to have occurred was evident here. Lines were placed in that didn't make sense and the story is even more confusing now than ever.

Alie: So we introduced this whole AI plot to rush through it and have Clarke pull a lever (again) to end it?? Why didn't Alie 1.0 merging with Alie 2.0 make Alie understand the "human" experience? The back story of the flame and its purpose has so much potential but it's feels like another opportunity they'll just throw away. Where's the explanation that ties all the stories together??

What happens with the grounders? There are literally no more nightbloods left willing or capable of being commander. Will their 'full of potential' storyline be abandoned? I'm holding out hope for the fact that everyone is still "chipped" although it's not connected to anything currently. Maybe that story will go somewhere...

As much as I love that Clarke finally tells Lexa she loves her....Any fan of Lexa knows that there's no way in hell Clarke would say I love u and Lexa doesn't emote a thousand lifetimes of "I love u too" with her eyes. No way she doesn't say it back, no way she doesn't damn near cry. I'm convinced it was done post production. Eliza and Alycia are just too good together to not make that the most beautiful scene if it was done during production.

...and Octavia?? not that I blame her, but that was super random and no way to end a season ??? Felt like that should've happened not so close to the end, it kind of stole the whole nuclear world ending "cliffhanger" setup.

All in all, after watching we are left with no clue as to what direction they'll take next season. Which, for me, translates to no interest in it unfortunately. The finale summed up the entire 2nd half of the season, rushed, full of plot holes, passing up on the interesting story lines to push an AI agenda that wasn't even fully explained. I wish they would take the time to do these characters and their stories justice. But Clarke was awesome as always, Raven was cool as always, and Lexa...was everything *sigh*
