Meh. Just OK
arfdawg-11 December 2017
The Plot. A reality TV crew's staged investigation into the paranormal becomes terrifyingly real when the house they're exploring turns out to be haunted by the ghost of a serial killer.

First of all the other reviews here are phony and clearly written by people who had something to do with the movie. There is no way on Earth this film deserves a 7.7 Rating. No Way.

It's a very cheaply made film with third rate actors who will never amount to anything. Especially the two women who are butterfaces.

That said, it IS mildly entertaining as long as you can fast forward here and there.

Honestly, it would play better as a stage performance.

Super cheesey

Very straightforward and simple to follow haunted house story. Lots of cheesey jokes. Easy to multitask with this movie on. I played it in the background while I was making dinner. It gave me a chuckle here and there and kept the kids entertained especially since they love ghosts.

Supernatural Fun
info-4543910 November 2017
A silly and funny film that does a great job of mixing comedy with scares, 6:66 PM is a fast-paced supernatural romp through a haunted house with a team of reality show characters hell-bent on making a ghost hunting show. The movie has a Scooby Doo feel to it, with each character embracing their own unique talents, attributes, and phobias to navigate their way through the worst set of circumstances they could imagine, which is being pursued through a haunted house by the demonic evil spirit of a serial killer who is trying to possess their bodies.

Frightening at times, funny at others, the cast works great together and the story is smart, making for a fast-paced, entertaining good time.

Third rate, low budget disaster. Suitable for 4-5 years old children. It's a disaster, very bad acting, very bad camera scenes, very bad movie effects, very bad everything. The voters are probably their friends and neighbors, because u can´t vote more than 1 if u are person with the normal taste for movies. No need to waste time by watching this garbage, it's worse than passing a kidney stone.

Most of the reviews on here are fake

The quality of this movie is so poor in every aspect it's astounding. I don't why there are so many 7 star reviews on here, they're clearly fake. But this movie is fun to mock with a friend, so if you have a friend maybe consider this for a bad movie night.

6:66 PM is a Good Time for Laughs
alanmyers-866829 November 2017
6:66 PM is a good time for laughs because laugh we did. A lot. This is a haunted house movie from the makers of Massacre on Aisle 12 which was also a really funny horror comedy film. This time they're stalked by the evil spirit of a deranged serial killer who has a nasty habit of possessing the dead bodies of his victims.

There are some good scares and some real laugh out loud moments that made this a fun movie we enjoyed. Especially entertaining was the interaction between the characters, all with their individual quirks and issues and sense of real people issues. The comedic timing was great and you can tell this cast has worked together before.

Overall, a very enjoyable movie.

Just Jimmy!!
pfmann-2002315 May 2020
Serial killer Jimmy Timmy Beck, resurrected from the dead, goes on a murder spree in Old Man Stan's country farm house while a misfit television crew tries to escape with their lives, all while filming a reality TV show. What could possibly go wrong? Lots, and it is FUNNY!

6:66 PM has all of your typical horror movie tropes ramped up to absurdity and sports a very funny cast that layers on the silly. Add a scare here and a scream there and sprinkle on the witty one-liners with a zombie kitten for the cherry on top and you've got an uproarious popcorn horror comedy that kept me entertained for 90+ minutes.

7/10 (+1 star for the great outtake reel on the DVD special features) = total of 8 stars.

Good Family Fun ala Abbott and Costello
plasner2 June 2019
If you're a fan of the American comedy duo of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, famous for their "Who's on First?" then you'll enjoy the comedic shenanigans of 6:66 PM.

The silly antics are reminiscent of the 1948 film "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" with Daniel (Jim Klock) and Peter (Chad Ridgely) pattering off each other like two well-timed vaudeville comedians in this spooky horror comedy fit for all ages.

The plot centers around the crew of a haunted house reality television show who arrive at an old ranch, the scene of grisly murders some years ago. To spice up their show, they fake some hauntings to improve their ratings, but quickly realize there's more going on at the old property than meets the eye.

When it's revealed that the ghost of the old serial killer, Jimmy Timmy Beck (Scott Burkhardt) has been resurrected and is out to doom the entire team's effort to make their show and drag their souls into the netherworld, the group must race against the clock (hence the 6:66 PM reference) to save themselves and their show.

There's lots of running around and plenty of slapstick humor to go along with the silly scares and delightful antics, and the film had my kids giggling with glee over the sheer absurdity of it all. A movie good for more than one viewing, at least for the kids, 6:66 PM delivers on a level of humor that doesn't take itself too seriously and, for me, was a welcome nostalgic romp through a bygone era of comedic monster movies.

A Funny Paranormal Activity
hzegler11 November 2017
If a poltergeist lived in your old ranch house, you might want to call a team of paranormal experts to deal with it. Old Man Stan does just that, except the people he lets investigate are from a reality TV show and the problem is that they're just pretending to know what they're talking about. Even bigger problem is that the poltergeist isn't pretending. He's real, and he's on a mission to kill everyone in the house and take control of their bodies.

I liked this movie because not only was it about a scary demon it is also pretty funny. Once the group figures out that the property is haunted and they find a dead animal the pace really picks up and the body count starts rising. It gets crazy as they try to figure out how to stop the poltergeist but also how to get out alive. A good movie.
