  Superman : My hero.

  Supergirl : Clark! OMG! How are you feeling?

  Superman : Ooo! Is this what a hangover feels like?

  Supergirl : You're asking the wrong girl.

  Superman : Clearly you're made of much stronger stuff.

  Supergirl : Only just figured that out?

  Superman : Seriously. You saved the world, Kara. I couldn't be prouder.

• Cat Grant : This is your "Working Girl" moment.

  Kara Danvers : Miss Grant, the end of "Working Girl" always makes me cry.

  Cat Grant : Me too.

• General Sam Lane : It's Fort Rozz.

  Supergirl : What, you just left it there?

  General Sam Lane : You try moving a one million-ton alien spacecraft. We did the only thing we could. We concealed it using its own stealth technology, cordoned off the area and called it a nuclear test zone.

• James Olsen : Well, I'm just happy that you're safe and the three of us are back together.

  Supergirl : Me, too.

  James Olsen : But I think we should talk about that thing that happened, uh... right before Myriad struck.

  Supergirl : The thing.

  James Olsen : Yeah. The thing thing

  Supergirl : [realizing]  The thing.

  James Olsen : Hmm.

  Winn Schott : [understanding]  Oh, this thing has nothing to do with me. All good. I got other things.

  [leaves] 

• Maxwell Lord : Finding them will be the easy part... Defeating them with only *you* that's our problem.

  Supergirl : And to think I thought you learned by now. I can handle anything

  Maxwell Lord : I'm not trying to be an ass. I know you can handle anything. But I'm actually worried, and if the others were thinking straight, they'd be worried too. You have no back up. Your sidekick J'onn J'onzz is injured. The DEO's resources have been depleted from the prison break. And even if even if they weren't, no human can go out there. Their heads would explode if they got too close to the source. If you go out there and fight, you might win. But chances are this is a suicide mission.

  Supergirl : You know I'll never stop trying.

  Maxwell Lord : Believe me, no on is rooting for you more than I am. I just want you to know what you're facing. So that you're prepared.

  Supergirl : I will stop Non and Indigo.

  Maxwell Lord : Good.

  [Maxwell walks away] 

  Supergirl : Hey.

  [Maxwell turns around and faces Supergirl] 

  Supergirl : Don't tell Alex my odds, okay?

• Cat Grant : [on her way past]  The morning meeting was to begin sixteen seconds ago. You people were more punctual when you were drones.

  James Olsen : Oh...

  Cat Grant : Scurry!

  Kara Danvers : Later?

  James Olsen : Later.

  Cat Grant : Today, please.

  [goes off] 

  James Olsen : After the scurrying?

  Kara Danvers : Yeah.

  [they dutifully scurry after Ms. Grant] 

• Maxwell Lord : [finds them all together]  Well, isn't this a Hallmark moment?

  Alex Danvers : Don't you have someplace better to be? Like at Lord Tech? Helping your employees get through what just happened?

  Maxwell Lord : That's what corporate shrinks are on retainer for. Me, I'm more worried about what's still happening.

  Supergirl : Still happening? Everyone's been protected.

  [shakes her head] 

  Supergirl : No one's mind is being controlled.

  Maxwell Lord : True. But I went to see how much damage the Kryptonians had done to my LTE network and I found out that since we ended their mind control, the Myriad wave... has been amplified tenfold, and is rising exponentially.

  Eliza Danvers : Amplified? To what end?

  Maxwell Lord : Emergency rooms all over the city have been filled by people complaining about headaches. They're from Myriad, which, by my calculations, will continue to amplify, until

  [makes explosive gesture] 

  Maxwell Lord : pop goes the cranium. The Kryptonians couldn't control us. So, instead, they're going to kill us. All of us.

• Maxwell Lord : The Kryptonians were using Myriad for mind control because the frequency penetrates neural tissue. Now they're increasing the frequency. Exponentially. We're talking terahertz jumps. That's like using an Uzi on a mosquito.

  Alex Danvers : And we're the mosquito.

  Maxwell Lord : Once the wave reaches it's full potential, the electromagnetic energy will create enough pressure to...

  [sighs wearily] 

  Supergirl : ...to kill every human on the planet, like you said. I need to tell James and Winn.

  [starts leaving] 

  Maxwell Lord : [sneering at her]  Let's not get our cape in a bunch.

  Lucy Lane : He's right. Telling them wouldn't do us any good right now.

  Alex Danvers : How long do we have?

  Maxwell Lord : Four hours. I usually love a good countdown, but this is bad. This is really bad.

  Lucy Lane : Think you can find the source so we can shut it down?

  Maxwell Lord : You're lucky I work well under pressure.

• J'onn J'onzz : [the two of them off on what could be fatal mission]  You didn't say goodbye to your sister.

  Supergirl : If I say goodbye, I'm never leaving.
