Disaster

This episode really sucks for a semi finale episode.

Non - the main antagonist is just all talk no action. When Astra was the general he pressured her to kill Kara and carry their masterplan but since he assume power he couldn't even do one thing. He has indigo always whispering to his ears. Weak!

The mind controlling is a bit of a clichè as it's been done alot and much better executed than this one. They made Superman looked weak! I mean how come the mind control thing affected him? They should have just let him be off world like they stated earlier.

Maxwell is bland now, he has zero reason to protect Cat Grant. It doesn't even make sense of all people he chose cat grant. Haha. I guess they needed her there for obvious reason - to convince Kara not to adhere to Maxwell's plan to bomb the city. But still they should have fine a better way!

Alex and Jon should have find a better place to hide. Why would they go to her mom's house? I mean come on. And her convincing JJ to allow her to follow him was unconvincing. It's actually a good thing that she followed him 'cause we get to see sister vs sister fight.

I fast forwarded most of the "inspirational speech" . Ohh cringey.

So bad I created an account just to vent!

Warning: Spoilers
There is a special level of terrible that warrants going out of your way to create an account just to warn people how horrendous something is. This episode surpasses that benchmark.

We are finally introduced to the diabolical Myriad plan. Just after it's initiation, Supergirl heads to CatCo for why-not and sees Kelly whom we've never met but are apparently quite concerned with her well-being. If this plot device doesn't scream "red shirt" then I don't know what does. True to form, minutes later, James, Winn, and Red-Shirt Kelly are mind controlled into throwing themselves off a ledge. Shockingly, two of the three make it out alive... I won't spoil whom.

We also find out Alex and J'onn made it to Alex's mother's house (first place I'd go if I were a fugitive!). They make contact with Supergirl and learn about the situation in the city and realize she needs J'onn's help. BUT WAIT, Alex is coming with! Who doesn't love a liability when trying to save the planet?! I know if I were heading off to war, I'd definitely bring my child along. Nothing says "ready to fight" like being hamstrung by protecting dead weight. J'onn initially is the voice of reason trying to dissuade her, but don't worry, J'onn promptly gives in, and Alex's mother also sees no flaws in this plan.

Wouldn't you know it, J'onn is taken out almost instantly trying to protect Alex, and our "perfectly logical" plot device is completed. Alex is now mind controlled and sent to fight Supergirl!

I mean, what more is there to say? This is some of the best writing I've ever seen out of a 6 year old! (What's that you say? This was written by professional writers... who actually get paid for this?!) ... ... I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
