As is often the case in these police series, there are characters who are talented but have Achilles' heels. Our journalist/detective falls off the wagon. Who knows where this will go, but his credibility is probably finished. We find secrets about Lara's father the night of her death. We are brought into the dangerous world of the ballet troupe and their Manson-like instructor. There is all kinds of extortion and threat hanging over everything. Gabriel ends up having dinner at his partner's house and meets his mega-idiot wife. It's obvious that he can't be trusted.
