The penultimate episode and it delivers Catherine's documentary. I loved it and think it is the best of the season.

Funny, yes, but would've been better as an extra footage reel, not a plot-advancing episode

My overall rating of "Veep"'s Season 5: 6/10.
So at this point I do increasingly wonder whether my rating scale is really working out for "Veep": there have been some episodes where I hadn't laughed at all and scored them highly, and now here's an episode that made me laugh quite a few times and that I'm scoring the minimum. However, I'm still standing by it so far.
The problem with that episode is that its plot is way too whimsical and nonsensical to take seriously. Now, "Veep" is a comedy, of course, but it's been trying to stake out an evolving, twisty plot, and the thing is just too twisty for its own good, to the extent that I would've loved this episode if it was scrapped from the "main continuity" and was just a collection of random gags and "what-ifs" as a DVD bonus or something - because it essentially is that. Additionally, I'm not sure why "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"-style "look at how awfully this video is edited" running gag is so appealing to Americans - to me it's the opposite of humorous.
