The actor who plays 'simon says' (the cheesey medium) is actually a school teacher.
The film is shot on location in Durham, Cramlington, Seaton Delaval, Birtley and Seahouses all in the North East of England, UK.

As well as being based on true events, most of the major characters written were based on real life people. One scene in the film was written true to a real life experience that the writer based the whole movie around.
