An excellent yet sad ending. Don't mind the others who can't get their head around it

(SPOILERS)!!!!

Of course if you are reading this then you know what happened. Our Liz is dead of course we love to keep thinking of ways that it was faked and Mr. Kaplan helped sedate her but as far as we know right now, she is dead. Liz was the backbone of the show. Her character and the relationship between her and Reddington partially made the show we all love. Though killing off a main character is hard, the Blacklist producers and directors have seemed to successfully pull this off. Who knows what the Blacklist will be like now, since Tom is getting his own spin off and all. I know its going to be great. Just remember what Sir Crispin Crandall said, "We're in for a bumpy ride.". That we are Mr. Crandall, that we are. Oh and I just hope Jon really creates some great Blacklisters. I also would like to see the Tech Guy in this episode who gave the directions to Mr. Solomon be a real Blacklister. His character fits the bill for that. R.I.P. Lizzy.

Elizabeth Keen dies, thankfully. Her character is as annoying as it could get.

Excellent episode, but....
ndminh-7789810 July 2020
Lizzy is gone, though we all want to see a miracle, not from Reddington's pocket as usual, but from the fact that how Blacklist series would be without her.

Her death is so brutal and not fair, especially to herself as there is still an untold story about her mother and family that Red is still trying hard to hide (remember in the last episode, Dembe told Red in the car:"She deserves (to know) the truth". Though, on the other hand, her death is understandable, given the huge damages that Red, Liz and the team have done to the Blacklisters and their criminal world.

One thing that I still donot understand is that Solomon has been tasked to kill anyone around Lizz, but to abduct her alive. Knowing that she is in a grave situation, why Solomon and his gang did not let her ambulance take her to the hospital to at least keep her alive? They would have plenty time to figure out how to kidnap her later. This Solomon guy is definitely too smart not to act this way.

Almost perfect (Spoilers)
Imperiously25 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
What a daring ending. If only the show hadn't backpedalled!! The shocking end was unexpected and very scenic, and the mouring of Liz by all the characters in the next two episodes were breathtaking. The writers unfortunately didn't have the guts to kill Liz for real though! The Kaplan set-up was a total stretch and ruined it all. It is unfortunate, but I think all characters and spectators were about to get past her death. To see her back later on is ridiculous.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with the aftermath of the church attack, Tom and Liz escaped in their wedding car. Tom and Liz crashed into a truck. Tom brought Liz to the hospital. Mr Kaplan brings Liz to a private ICU. Liz has to get a cesarean section or the baby dies. Liz gave birth to her daughter, she gives her a name: Agnes. Liz got pain on her chest and her breathing is slow. Liz got unconscious, Liz has to go back to the hospital but she got hold up by Solomon. Liz fights for her life, she died in the van. Solomon escaped from the scene. Red is in a deep shock. The entire task force is griefing. One of the best episodes of The Blacklist so far, with the death of Elizabeth 'Liz' Keen the task force is deeply shocked.

Well, How About That
Hitchcoc17 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Well, Elizabeth is dead. In this action packed conclusion to a two parter, she gives birth but can't get to a regular hospital. She ends up in one of Red's facilities. I'm sick of Solomon and the way his lackeys kiss his boots. They seem intent on dying for nothing. I guess after all the criticism of Tom he has become quite a positive figure. If I were to take issue it would be that the forces to protect seem so disorganized and inadequate. The bad guys are johnny on the spot but the military are a day late and a dollar short. It will be interesting to see how Red handles the death of his most important.

This is so game changer .. still episode 18 so Imagine what the finale is gonna be like !! :D
Aktham_Tashtush15 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The episode just had that huge plot flip surprise that no one in a million years would expect ..

So still 4 episodes left till the finale and honestly i didn't see that ending of Liz, All of the certified reviewing websites confirmed it is the end for Megan Boone. I mean if this huge surprise left us stunned Imagine what the finale is gonna be like :D

It started where they left us at the gunfire raid at Liz wedding and then went so quick through that short car chase to giving birth and boom she's in a coma .. i mean i wouldn't prefer these events to just come out like this so sudden , but still i'm so eager to know how the show will move on especially it has an almost 100% renewal for a fourth season for next September.

After the end of the episode they kinda hinted that we'll see the the best episode yet to come with a massive Reddington breakdown , and to be quite honest Red lately was slowly becoming the main character in the show so i wouldn't expect myself to hang up for long on Liz even though she was loved for the the whole series .. but now my only hopes "well for the these upcoming last 4 episodes" is for the mystery of who the hell was chasing after Liz !! to be solved and for Rd to avenge her death :P then for September we'll see what's gonna happen ;)

But i do feel truly optimistic , so let's wait and see :)

Elizabeth is an ungrateful and entitled hypocrite
Djm03198 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode after episode we watch Reddington try to have a relationship with Elizabeth. When everyone else has turned their backs on Elizabeth it is Reddington that is there for her. Reddington is always there for her. He is there to catch her when she is falling and never lets her fail. Yet Elizabeth forgets all of these things Reddington has done for her and turns on him in a blink of an eye. She is a cold and manipulative narcissist.

Solomon?
jtorrain0516 October 2019
Another good episode. I just don't understand the hype with Solomon. His character his so bland, he tries too hard to be cool and he just doesn't seem like a real threat.

I Give Up
paq552810 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This series started strong and interesting, intellectual with action. It has now devolved into trite scenarios and characters that I simply do not care about any more. In this episode, while we are supposed to be caring about Liz's baby, I can't help but think back a scant few episodes ago when Dembe was being tortured and his granddaughter was kidnapped. The man who should have shown the most loyalty was no where to be found. Now we have Red's family on the line and there's half an army of supporters. The main reason you like Red is his affinity with so many characters; his loyalty and his friendship in his own alternate world are what make you like his attempts at bridging the gap. But now we have unrealistic plots and characters I no longer care about. Did anyone else cheer when Liz "died"? Did anyone else hope that it was a final step? That she wouldn't be back? I'm so tired of her moral flip-flops with Red who has only ever shown his deep concern and love for her. Tom, Mr Super Spy has become a eunuch. This show had everything, but lost it all. The plot is now mind-numbingly predictable and boring, the characters have become one-dimensional and cardboard -- no one cares about them any more -- and the intellectualism is gone. For me, the most interesting character, at the moment, is Dembe. And that's because they don't focus on him, which is a travesty of story-telling.

Should you like characters in films?
Sibiriak_com30 January 2024
One of my friend once said "you know, I've decided because I don't like the show Friends. Because all the characters are jerks". I was strongly ambivalent to his feeling because I think we're not supposed to like them, at least we don't have to. Otherwise, wrap it up guys, we don't have stories to write about. But after this 10-year-old girl's multiple tantrums I'm asking myself where is the line between not liking the character and getting annoyed by the character? And I understand an author has all the rights to create a character to trigger an emotion reaction even when it's hatred towards this character. And that's ok. My guess, the reason everybody responds to Liz' in this unsettling way is the focus on her as a main character and angling her story as existentionalistic journey, hers is a "me story". It's because the show has been balancing between the good idea and as what I call televisionisms. The story is obviously is not about Elizabeth Keen. It's not even starting with her which of course is not a universal sign, granted. But if you take it into account with the whole story you realize that yes it's not about her. But let's not forget it was produced for TV, creators always have to compromise to make it appealing to a broader audience. And don't blame them for that. It's either you make compromises and you have the budget and you're able to make a great story alive or you say "F the TV", write your intellectual genius obscure piece, shoot it with 1000 dollars and upload it to YouTube. And as the matter of fact many do, and we have enough of it too. SO it is what it is. To keep a show alive you have to add a line of a supposedly brave female character, you have to add her self-observing angle, her feelings and dreams, and so on. The same was with Alias which I couldn't finish watching, and I tried. Remember those repetitive scenes where she sits on a couch and that similar sobbing songs is always on the background? But let's imagine for a second that we make her an absolutely likeable character by giving her logic, common sense, ability to adapt to situation. Then it would steer the whole story into this character. Considering that I would say, way to go, guys! And Megan did her job precisely how it supposed to be. So, I just always watch this show as if it's clearly about Reddington. If it helps you might try watching it as if Elizabeth is a mild villain in this story. :-) 7 is because it's not the best episode.

Where the hell is this show going
stephen_obrien15 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Time after time this show tries to reinvent itself. Time after time it fails. How stupid is Elizabeth and how stupider is the fawning pretend husband Tom? The more we get into this the more we don't want to watch it. It may be entertaining to the US audiences but it sure as hell isn't entertaining to anybody with a modicum of intelligence. Reddinton is very rarely wrong so when is Elizabeth finally going to realise that he has her best interest at heart if never, why carry on with it? it is pathetic, ill conceived and a wast of air time. the acting is shambolic and the only person which holds it together in any way is James Spader and he is rapidly losing credibility.

Mr Solomon is a Idiot
GoldenGooner0416 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
And can't act out of a paper bag. Have you seem the way he holds a gun, is he even looking at where he is shooting? And talk about laid back And that's see I will fire 2000 bullets into the church, but not even bother about the parked cars, the ones they could escape in. I mean WTF. This is when it started to lose the plot a bit I know you sometimes have to move a story alone, but come on folks, who in their right mind would just leave the cars alone. Stupid is as Stupid Does.

To many issues with this episode.
kuluvas-4426517 July 2021
The writers got way to many things just wrong.

It's almost like the writers don't know how to read or they don't even bother to research anything. It's like all the people that are against guns, not one of them actually knows anything about the situation they just hear someone spew lies and disinformation and they choose to believe it.

I just wish someone somewhere would just call a meeting of writers and beat them senseless then teach them how to do research and finally then we'll have proper names and descriptions for places and things.

Aside from that I love this show but someone seriously dropped the ball on this episode.

The show is an epic 10, James Spader is one of the greatest actors of all time and this show gives him a great way to stretch those acting muscles!

Lapse in production values
mcquicker18 May 2016
It is very annoying to notice that the same church used in the climatic scene in the episode is the same church used in FX TV series, The Americans.

To make matters worse, the set designers included the same silly picture behind the pulpit of a four color Jesus with arms extended.

The result... laughter and a shake of the head, which is not, I fear what the producers intended.

Hopefully, I won't see that set again in another TV series, since it takes away from the impact of the story.

This is a tremendous lack of judgment on the part of the production staff. If I'm correct, the Mr. Solomon episode was filmed AFTER the 3 season episode of the Americans.
