Speechless

I am so terrified for next week's season finale.

In this episode, tensions are at an all time high, fear and temptation are on everyone's minds, and our favourite characters seem to be inching closer and closer to an atomic bomb primed to go off at any second.

There was so much that happened in this episode and so many possible endings that were set up that it could go in a variety of directions in the season finale. Whichever way it goes, we'll all be in for treat, and likely some heartbreak too.

I'm usually the optimist with Suits - Harvey, Mike, and Jessica are often able to wriggle their way out of the most compromising situations - but I honestly can't see any of the possible endings for this season resulting in everyone coming out of it unscathed. And that petrifies me.

This is, without doubt, one of the best episodes of Suits to date. I'm not sure how the showrunners do it, but Suits manages to consistently achieve excellence. This entire season is evidence of their talent.

Furthermore, Suits is one of the most underrated television series of all time; I hope with this season the show gets some of the recognition it absolutely deserves.

LIMITS

What a tremendous and exceptional episode !

~Proving something isn't about being perfect.

It's about what's the flaws that complete you to seem perfect in the way.

~ Clear the filter, Thread the thought process and the pratfall effect which says showing yourself perfect causes people to be on alert while showing how messed up you are, makes them trust you since you open yourself to be vulnerable.

Either way it's a gamble .

~Everybody was cornered to the limits .

Louis did what he was expected to .

The biggest surprise of them all was HARVEY .

Damn , I never imagined all this would cause him to such an extent that he feels vulnerable and give himself up for the firm .

Glad he had the talk with Donna .

~ Mike had 2 options : 1. Either wait for the Juries to announce the verdict and accept for it represented

~ Or take the deal and get only himself convicted and everybody else isn't touched.

Contrasting comparisons but he cared more about Harvey and others than himself which made it emotional for me.

What a MAN !

The Beat Goes On

The rubber finally is hitting the road. Mike makes a splendid effort in a trial that has been moved way up in the docket. I was surprised at how few witnesses and how little evidence was produced. Harvey's efforts to create distraction by getting people to lie under oath just don't work. In the meantime, Mike decides to get involved in a case of a man who is being overly punished for a minor theft. This is beyond belief. I'm sorry, but this plot element is totally unnecessary-but, I suppose, offers a companion crime that is much less severe than Mike's case. While this is getting resolved Mike makes a devastating decision. Meanwhile, the partners trying to scramble and save the firm. Once again, Louis is the loose cannon. Well done episode. Rachel is either stupid or has too much faith.

Not Speechless but Interest-less

Warning: Spoilers
I'm sorry but I am not impressed with the last couple of episodes. My husband and I started watching this show from the beginning and we were hooked. Now we feel like, 'just get this over with for Pete's sake!' The series has really devolved into a true soap opera with yes, the tension and all that. Yes the acting is good but....

The success of a good soap opera turns on two main things: a continuous plot and one that resolves at the end of each episode. If the balance is lost as in what is happening with 'Suits' then the observer loses interest, grows angry and frustrated. This is where we are at. We have had enough of the sturm and drang with Gibbs playing the heavy and everyone at the law firm in conflict, in fear but still having time to have these deep philosophical conversations about loyalty, having faith and all that but c'mon resolve it and get moving! Realistically no law firm would have hired Mike Ross to begin with and so it is hard to buy into this ongoing plot line. We loved the machinations, loved that each episode was resolved with certain cases and so it made it easy to let's say 'tolerate' hiding Mike's fraud. But now there comes a time when the producers should finally resolve the enduring plot line and get back to what Suits does best.

I had suggested to my husband that they could show the law firm a few years later, after Mike had fast-tracked Columbia and that would create a sense of equilibrium. They could then create another 'enduring plot line' to replace Mike's fraud because frankly, it is wearing very thin.

If you want to watch a series from Australia that possesses all the elements of a good evening soap, watch 'A Place to Call Home'. I think it went 5 seasons then was axed (and should never have been) but we never stopped loving everything about it. I hope the producers read this, download this show and take notes.

Because I think 'Suits', instead of following its instinctual, natural trajectory has prostituted itself in the name of viewers, numbers and business bottom lines.

I feel like I am standing at the door, trying to decide whether to stay in a relationship. Maybe I'll give it one more chance but mess me around some more and I'm outta here....
