Tape 3, Side A (#1.5)
ComedyFan20105 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The subject of this tape side is Courtney. The picture that Tyler gets of them starts getting recognized by the other students. And in order to protect herself Courtney stabs Hannah in the back. It is actually made so that one understands where she was coming from. I really liked the scene where Clay brings Courtney to the cemetery and asks her about it. Her not wanting to come out as gay because she has two dads was a very great idea. That said why would he even have to admit she is lesbian, she could have said it was just for fun. And it isn't even supposed to be such a harmful rumor since that other girl who was suspected dealt with it very well.

I also liked the scene in the car with Alex speeding where we find out his father is a cop. I am pretty sure he did it to demonstrate it to Clay so that he knows to stay away. And I really really wonder what exactly happened. Who is lying and who isn't.

Good episode overall but...

I actually got into this show pretty recently and heard "The Night We Met" quite awhile ago. It is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and this episode nearly ruined it. It restarted and replayed it so many times. We get it. The song represents their relationship, but we don't need that spoon-fed to us. This episode could have been so much better if they just played it one time, or if whoever was in charge of the music had listened to the song a few times first so they weren't coming into it with the whole "omg this is the greatest song ever! I need to play it a thousand times!" reaction we all have when we hear a new hit.

Clay and Hannah

Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Clay, he is at the school prom. Jeff says that Clay has to dance with Hannah. Clay and Hannah are dancing with each other. Clay had a nightmare about school prom, it wasn't a flashback. Bryce discovered that Hannah and Courtney are the girls on the picture, they were kissing with each other on that photo. Clay and Hannah are slowly getting friends at the dance. Jessica is sorry for slapping Hannah one time. Clay and Courtney are visiting Hannah's grave together. Nice Episode of 13 Reasons Why Season 1, this was another great Episode. Clay his relationship with Hannah was much more than he says!
