Cloud 9

Warning: Spoilers
I've heard heaps, well quite a lot about Superstore, so I thought I should start watching for sure. Why have I missed the Superstore phenomenon I don't know. Anyway, it's time to start with the pilot, and great to see Reggie Chen make a guest appearance.

The reference to the American Beauty plastic bag was hilarious for sure, as was the marriage proposal for Cheyenne which turned into a flash mob for the ages and for social media.

A bit of a multicultural cast, with Mark McKinney, a Canadian, appearing.

It's hard to believe the pilot debuted eight years ago, but definitely worth watching the antics in Cloud 9.

This pilot is the perfect introduction to an incredible show. The show has mastered the art of deep relatable characters who develop over time and this is the perfect introduction to characters you'll quickly to love.

Amazing start to an amazing show

I feel like this is one of those shows you start watching expecting to watch a couple of episodes, get bored and then stop watching and never go back. However - that couldn't be any further from the case. Starting from this amazing pilot (moments of beauty - such a beautiful moment, need I say more), this show holds its momentum for the entirety of its 100+ episodes. The great humour, great acting and great characters make for a memorable experience. Season 6 is yet to wrap up but I have already watched season's 1-5 twice over and am still not bored of this show. Highly recommended.

Really good pilot

I have been looking for next sitcom to watch after finishing HIMYM for a while now, and after a few fails, this was the first pilot to land for me. I thought all the characters were really well put together after the first episode. I liked how well they built up some meaningful plot after the first episode. This pilot just felt refreshing, although it is very reminiscent of Brooklyn 99, which I thoroughly enjoyed (even the female leads have the same name, Amy, and have similar personalities). All in all, I'm gonna keep watching this show and see how well they'll be able to follow up this fantastic pilot. This is one of the best sitcom pilots I've seen, only falling behind HIMYM.

This show needs to be canceled immediately

I am not sure who thought that writing a sitcom about a big box stores would be funny, but this show fails miserably.

Of the three episodes that I watched, this one was the only one that was remotely watchable. It wasn't funny, but at least you could attempt to tolerate the main character and his crush on what was supposed to be his supervisor. The rest of the characters were less than one dimensional and were poorly developed to say the least.

I sincerely feel bad for America Ferrara for being on this heaping pile of crap.

I want that half hour that I lost watching this show back.

Repricing Mistake and Stars On The Ceiling

Warning: Spoilers
Jonah is new and works at a superstore. He gives a bad first impression to Amy the floor supervisor. Jonah accidentally reprices all the tech to be 25 cents. Amy runs out to get some of the purchases back as customers scramble to the cashiers.

She tells Jonah that she puts up inventory for every holiday and season and now it's hard to see the beauty of things.

The boy who Amy sold the ring to proposes to his girlfriend and the other supervisor crawls to the back office. She shuts off the electricity and there are stars on the ceiling. It is a magical moment.

Jonah wonders what the policy is for dating supervisors. The employees group up before leaving and part ways.
