Disney Branded Television has promoted four executives in its original movies division.
Amee Dolleman and Charles Pugliese have been elevated to the roles of vice president of original movies, while Mahita Penke and Jennifer Dubin have been upped to executive director of original movies.
“Amee, Charles, Mahita and Jen have exceptional taste and fantastic relationships with top creative talent,” executive vice president of live-action and alternative series Charlie Andrews and senior vice president of original movies Lauren Kisilevsky said in a joint statement Tuesday. “They are each passionately dedicated to uplifting and expanding the Disney legacy by developing movies that delight and inspire audiences all over the world. The team continues to deliver tent pole and event movies with humor, heart and adventure to kids, families and young adults everywhere for whom Disney magic knows no bounds.”
Penke reports to Dolleman and Pugliese, while Dolleman, Pugliese and Dubin report to Kisilevsky.

A24 is teaming up with filmmakers Max Eggers (The Lighthouse) and Sam Eggers (Olympia) — otherwise known as The Eggers Brothers — on their feature directorial debut The Front Room, a psychological horror pic that will star Brandy Norwood (Queens), Kathryn Hunter (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Andrew Burnap (Snow White) and Neal Huff (Waves).
The film based on Susan Hill’s short story follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.
The Eggers Brothers will direct from their own script, with A24 producing alongside Lucan Toh, Babak Anvari and Bryan Sonderman of Two & Two Pictures, and Julia Oh and David Hinojosa of 2Am. A24 is also financing the film and handling global distribution.

They were Tiger Beat gorgeous - all of them - but they had the ambition and skills to stick around and not fade into obscurity.

He's never left TV, moving from Bayside to NYPD Blue to Franklin & Bash, and now crushing it as the aformentioned Mike Lawrence on Pitch.

Actor Thomas Mikal "Tommy" Ford has died at the age of 52. Per USA Today, Ford passed away following a burst aneurysm. He is perhaps best known for playing Tommy Strawn on Martin Lawrence's Fox sitcom, Martin.When Martin ended. Ford went on to portray Lt. Malcolm Barker on the New York Undercover TV show on Fox -- a police drama -- in 1998 and '99. He recurred on Upn's Moesha spin-off, The Parkers, from 2000 to 2001. Actor Tommy Ford, who played Martin Lawrence’s friend Tommy on the Fox sitcom Martin, has died at age 52.
Ford passed away Wednesday in an Atlanta hospital after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen, TMZ is reporting. Ford was rushed to the hospital on Sunday and placed on life support; he was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his death.
