One of the funniest shows in many a year
masterji-006352 November 2015
Brilliant family entertainment- the episode with King Kong, the Tamil film star is one of the funniest I have ever seen. The basic premise of the show is that he goes a back to SL to visit his roots where He sees family and old family haunts. Each week we see Romesh in a different setting, he reluctantly throws himself in because his mum has requested it. In many ways he is an English man abroad. Romesh has great comic timing as you would expect from such a celebrated comic and his little quips are just genius but the other characters also help to make this a brilliant show. I hope there is a second series because this great entertainment where all 3 generations can watch.

Boring

I was hoping that Romesh's normal bleak demeanour would be punctuated with his wit. Sadly, I found that lacking and he just comes out a a moaner. His mum also comes across as a bit of a grump too. Haven't watched S2. Completely lacks the charm & humour of Jack Whitehall and his dad.

What comedian?

I agree with the verdict of boring. Can't get my head round why someone gave him his own tv show! He was on the tv show tell a lie, which I normally enjoy. He was asked a question and appeared to freeze into a silence you could break with a pin dropping. I'm amazed this person has any show on UK tv at all. I'm also allergic to bushy beards on personalities, as I feel they may have some religious conotations. I watch tv shows to be entertsined, not have some persons religious persuasion forced on me.
