Setrakian and Fet track down the Occido Lumen while Eph and Quinlan head to the spot where they are supposed to swap Zach per the book with The Master. Meanwhile, Quinlan´s origins and hate for The Master is disclosed in flashbacks. When Eph and Quinlan arrive to the place, Kelly brings a kid with a hood covering the face. Is the kid Zach?

"First Born" discloses why Quinlan hates The Master so much. Their showdown is great but the clichés conclusion gives sequel to the story with the essence of The Master escaping. My vote is eight.

Reaction / Review for The Strain Season 3 Episode 3 ''First Born'' (S3. E3): Episode 2 was great and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Quinlan reveals that the Master is his father, sweet. Nice to see some flashbacks with Quinlan. Gus keeps feeding his turned mother, that's not good. It seems like that woman in Quinlan's flashbacks was a bit like a mother figure to him, that's cool. I thought Gus would be smarter, this creature is not his mother anymore. The way Quinlan lost the old lady was very sad. Here come bad-ass Setrakian with the silver bombs, oh yeah. Quinlan cuts off the Masters' head? What?! Amazing episode overall, my rating is 9/10.
