The New Zealand folk-parody duo Flight of the Conchords (Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie) perform some of their most well-known songs, interspersed with some funny stories, to a live audience at the London Apollo. They are joined by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
Wonderfully funny and intelligently thought-out. Some very funny songs and some great humour in between too. All the well-known standards are there plus a few touches to keep things fresh. Great musicianship too.
The chemistry and synchronisation between Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie is spot-on. Sometimes it looks like they're just riffing individually but the way it all hangs together so perfectly means it was either very well planned and executed or their chemistry is so good they can just jam and the everything is still spot-on.
